I started playing the new Horizons pack today. I made a Pulverizer, and then I realized I have no idea how to power it without a sterling engine or something similar...

Whats an early game method of power production? There are lots of mods in this modpack I am not familiar with.
better get cracking on those engines then.
only tech mods here are TE and rotarycraft, so those are your only options. for RF power, stick to TE engines.

for ore multiplying, RC has everything beat. average of 5x multiplier once you get the thing up and running.
VERY iron hungry though.

As in 1000 iron hungry. And that's just to get the bare minimum speed. Also that bare minimum speed is roughly a minute per ore to process.

still worth it.
especially if in a pack with IC/GT. iridium isn't a stupidly scarce resource anymore.

Anyone know how to craft iron bars? Im guessing its either IC2 or GT that changed the recipe but I cant see it, the normal recipe doesnt work and I need some. =( 1.6.4
Do you have Dartcraft installed? Believe it was found to replace a recipe which is causing that issue.

Is there any sort of mod that turns torches into temporary lighting? Thought about giving myself a reason to use stuff besides torches for lighting.

Further research has pointed me to Dynamos (Thermal Expansion, like you suggested). I hadn't heard of those before, going to go build some now. Thanks!

Is there a simple reason why Atomic Science was not included in the Universal Configs, is it buggy with the current mod list? Just seems that universal electricity addons seem to be very lacking, and atomic science is the most notable loss.

Here's the modpack's reply to someone asking about the UE mods:
Nope, but until that API is stable and not changeing every release it won't be in.
