so playing Infinity Expert it's quite important to gather iridium, which is best done through mass fabricators and replicators, but I don't exactly know what a good setup would be for this.

currently the setup looks like this

qYAyxuJ.png

there's 4 mass fabricators supplying UU to 1 replicator. each mass fabricator is fed by 2 recyclers, where each recycler has 1 fully augmented igneous extruder. each recycler also has 10 overclocker upgrades.
the power is generated by 4 nuclear reactors producing 420EU each, and with each new stack of iridium a new ultimate hybrid solar panel gets added.

my question now is, as mentioned before, is this an efficient setup? I know I can make more mass fabricators and replicators, but I think it'd be pointless if you don't have extra EU being generated to power them.
I prefer to use transfer nodes with world interaction upgrades to get the cobble. Save a good deal of energy and space that way.

Mod update in packs (let's talk about Infinity) can be tricky at best, game breaking at worse.
I love Logistics Pipes. It's a one sided love (I think; she never replied). And LP (it's a pet name I gave her) is constantly changing. For the better, I think. And she is a strong, independent mod, who don't need no addons. Is it alright if I let her update whenever she goes through a growth spurt?

TL;DR: updating Logistics Pipes shouldn't be game breaking, right?

Edit: words

I'm planning on switching to transfer nodes when the extruders are no longer fast enough, but uptil now the mass fabricator doesn't fully use up the scrap from both recyclers, usually only one recycler is running constantly and the other is a buffer

So, if anybody wants a more techy device to make gears, use the Immersive Engineering Metal Press
And use TiCon if you want a super cheaty way to make them it can save you lots of resources(If they haven't changed it from last time I used it)

I avoid those too; every mod wants to make me read something these days. Have you seen all the witchery books? Nopenopenope
The Witchery books are really just reference manuals rather than instructions, they're mostly just lists of all the different recipes. Most notably useful with circle magic as the rituals can't be shown in NEI, it's even got categories to help you find what you want though.

"All the Witchery books" are like 7 pages long (aside from the ritual one). There's not that much reading in them

I understand the response to the following question will be something along the lines of "yeah, that's how it is. Java sucks balls" but I have to ask.

I'm running Infinity with 2Gb of RAM, Faithful 32 modded edition and Optifine. I always have above 100 FPS. Now, try as I might to tinker with the RAM quantities (just RAM; every setting remains the same) I cannot get Soartex or Sphax textures to give out the same performance. Not even 10 FPS less. Always goes to around 50. Is it a CPU gating? I'm using an FX 6100. It's no I5 but I don't think it's that bad that I have to get this kind of response...

What resolutions are the textures in Sphax/Soartex compared to Faithful 32? If they're higher, then it might just be that there's some chug going on behind the scenes when they're being pushed to/accessed by the graphics card...at least, I hope Minecraft does hardware rendering, I honestly haven't looked into it.

Minecraft does indeed do hardware rendering, using OpenGL. Unfortunately, it's an ancient version of OpenGL. >.> And apparently, textures aren't stored in GPU VRAM for some asinine reason.

Yep, a drop in the ocean of books :p

I realize a majority of people really love their in-game manuals, but I'm always going to prefer out-game wikis.
Tis one of the reasons I like the RotaryCraft wiki: I can prepare my systems mentally ahead of time. :)

O.O

If you can coax 100fps out of 2Gb RAM, don't tinker with anything. Some people would kill for such performance.

They are both 64x textures. I'm not sure on the prehistoric opennGL, but Optifine adds options for that and I use the fast settings (render only visible).

I'm getting 100+, as I said, (around 130, actually) with RAM usage around 70-80% (as viewd by pressing F3). I have a GeForce 750 Ti, and the only thing running iin the back is the browser (no videos on). Just text/pictures. At most 10 tabs on Firefox. I have 16Gb of total RAM on Windows 8, for Pete's sake. It makes no sense...
