I've always had the Spawner sit directly on a single block of Cursed Earth. I've not tested it hovering over one.

Is your plan to have a regular floor with one block of Cursed Earth, or a full floor of Cursed Earth? I feel like it might make a difference, but without more data...
Thing is I have some cursed earth spawner rooms for Well of Suffering. And every now and then I come by some spawners, Dolly them and take them back home. So I thought I might as well stick them in the cursed earth rooms(it is not a matter of need, just a matter of "why not").

Problem is that to get 100% value of the spawners, they need to be one block above the cursed earth. And it looks crap to have a free-standing block of cursed earth under the spawners. Hence my question if it was really necessary for it to be touching the spawner.

I am tearing my hair out here, I know few use GT so... but.. yellorium.. it turns into uranium by the automatic unification, but I want to have both yellorium and uranium at the same time. (I am odd that way I dont want the yellorium ore to be used by my nuke reactor and vice versa). Anyone know where in the unification document you fix that and how? I am fiddling around but not coming up with much and google seems to just hate me on this

I know GT has a config somewhere that disables automatic unification entirely (both in players' inventory and on machine output; with separate options for each, I believe), but I have no idea where to find those.

Alternatively, if you only want to mess with Yellorium and want to keep the unification for everything else, all I can recommend is opening up the unification config file in your preferred text editor, hit Ctrl-F (in most editors), and search for uranium. I don't know if there's a way to turn off unification for one specific ore, rather than just change which ore to unify to; but that would be the place to look.

Well, if it's just a " why not," and not a matter or need, it leaves you free to make the decision about which is more important to you, efficiency or aesthetics.

On a semi related question, does Cursed Earth microblock, and if so does it carry it's effect to said microblocks? It may help the situation if you could make it seen like the Spawner was on a small altar or somesuch.

Pretty sure it can be turned into Microblocks, but the effects don't hold.

I appreciate the attempt to help, but this is all things I have thought through before asking my original question. And the example I used is just one situation where I wanted to know. And none of this really impacts on that I still want to know if the cursed earth have to be right under the spawner or there can be a gap(for this, other places and future uses).

But I decided to test it out myself and can report that the Cursed Earth HAS to be directly under the vanilla Monster Spawner(touching it, no gaps allowed) in order to continue spawning without players inside a 16 block radius.

Has anybody calculated all the resources required to make 1 Creative Energy Cell, 1 Portable Tank, and 1 Everalsting Mana Pool?
Edit: In FTB Infinity Evolved Expert Mode of course

Whatever you have now, it's probably not enough

I dunno, but from what I've heard, by the time you get there, you won't have any use for them. You will already have more than enough power, fuel, and mana than you are ever likely to need.

So the items are tiered as known so I'll do them in order, anyway just working them out using 2.4.1. Not really sure how you want this done so just doing it by first and final-ish level ingredients, that being defined as what I consider the simplest relevant form. When given multiple choices for what to use I put what I'd use, for example fused quartz over hardened glass. Sorted by amount needed for ease.

Needed ingredients
  • 28 Enhanced Galgadorian Blocks
  • 16 Resonant Energy Cell Frame (Full)
  • 16 Draconic Flux Capacitors
  • 9 Quantum Solar Panels
  • 8 Pellets of RTG Fuel
  • 4 Lumium Blocks
Total Components
  • 30810 Glowstone Dust
  • 17187 Blaze Powder
  • 16502 Coal (16502 Dust)
  • 14651 Diamonds
  • 14375 Iron Ingots (10677 Plates)
  • 13608 Slimeballs
  • 10784 Redstone Dust (5248 Melted)

As expected really, the creative cells make up nearly all of what is required. Note due to not caring much about the leftovers you could do it in marginally less resources for both that and the following as you'd have enough stabilized metal to get out of one crafting of it.
Needed Ingredients
  • 4 Primordial Pearl
  • 4 Crystal Cluster
  • 4 Null Catalyst
  • 4 Gaia Spirit Ingot
  • 1 of each tier Slate
  • 1 of each Rune

What if I want to make an ocean out of Primal Mana? By the time I get the Creative Portable Tank I won't have all the Primal Mana I want. :p

Just save one bucket of primal mana then.
I know. Or I can save 1mb of Primal Mana and pump it in the creative tank

so playing Infinity Expert it's quite important to gather iridium, which is best done through mass fabricators and replicators, but I don't exactly know what a good setup would be for this.

currently the setup looks like this

qYAyxuJ.png

there's 4 mass fabricators supplying UU to 1 replicator. each mass fabricator is fed by 2 recyclers, where each recycler has 1 fully augmented igneous extruder. each recycler also has 10 overclocker upgrades.
the power is generated by 4 nuclear reactors producing 420EU each, and with each new stack of iridium a new ultimate hybrid solar panel gets added.

my question now is, as mentioned before, is this an efficient setup? I know I can make more mass fabricators and replicators, but I think it'd be pointless if you don't have extra EU being generated to power them.
