If they are different color then they won't connect I believe. You can do that I believe by using colored cable and attach it to it. It will take on the color and then you can remove the cable.

The applicator may also work.
IC2 Painters used to also work on AE1 stuff. Never tried it on drives however...

Appears that only works for the terminals, I need a way to separate out drives that are touching.

PS: I'm getting REALLY annoyed with AE2 atm. Seems it was only designed to be used if u have a rack of drives and just throw everything in. Simply does not work properly with storage buses on chests.

I think I know what you mean - it throws junk in the chest even if you have it on low priority, and have the same item in another location? I only use storage buses in "read only" mode.

My issue is that it will NOT input into a chest unless it already has the item in it, you can set filters and priorities till you're blue in the face... It will not do it and it's driving me mad. Also would love a mod based sorting card for the storage buses.

Is there a point at which feeding hungry nodes effectively grinds to a halt? The total aspect count is well over 2000 now, and it's taking a long, long time to boost the Ignis aspect over 240.

I am using Logistics Pipes to help with autocrafting the solar panels from the Solar Expansion mod, using only one chest set up with a provider pipe. The crafting works fine, however some leftover nuggets and glass panes were just being popped out of their pipes, since there was no overflow chest at first. Now I added another chest using a basic pipe and this is working as well, the leftover stuff is being routed to that second chest.
However, that leftover stuff should really be included for the next crafting requests. After all, I need a chest setup which works as both as a provider and an itemsink. I could not find any such pipe/module. Will I need to use stuff like itemducts to move items from chest two to chest one or is there any simpler solution I am too stupid to find?
Thanks for any help!

Itemsink module has all the functionality as the basic logistics pipe. Stick a chassis mkII with both a provider and itemsink module and you good.

I'm playing the Pathfinder modpack and it has that mod installed that lets you level-up your Tinkers Construct tools.

Is it possible to 'waste' the bonus that you get from the tool levelling up? For example, if a tool was going to get +100 luck and I put +100 luck on it, is the luck wasted or do I get a different bonus? If it was going to give me +1 modifier or +1 emerald on it and I put those on myself, will it still add those bonuses, add different bonuses, or add nothing at all?

Edit: What is the easiest way to get to the Nether in the Pathfinder pack? You can't build a portal the normal way because it all takes place in RFTools dimensions.

It's not wasted, and the best way is to use nether-related dimlets, namely Material: Netherrack

Thanks a lot. Will using a Material:Netherrack make the world spawn other nether related stuff? I need Nether Quartz, Glowstone, Blaze Rods, and Netherwart to progress in my quests and while they might be quite easy to get on their own, finding dimlets for them individually might take a lot of time.

This is your pack right? I sure hope so otherwise what I'm about to say is going to sound a little silly! The pack is really a lot of fun, the most fun I have had in Minecraft for a long time, thanks so much for making and sharing it! :)

Blaze Rods are craftable, and Netherrack will spawn things like Glowstone and Nether Quartz in veins.

What are my options for leveling out a large amount of terrain (mostly trees) to make space for several farms.

if you want to get rid of the trees an MFR harvester will cut down a tree and every connected tree, so in a forest it can clear a pretty solid area

BC Filler

But try and not go the boring way(IMO) and maybe build the farms following the terrain by levelling it out locally by using terraces. Can look SO much better IMO :)

turtles are always an option. I like those myself the few times I need to fiddle with the terrain.
Done that myself a few times as well. Usually just use this for it:
http://www.computercraft.info/forums2/index.php?/topic/7675-advanced-mining-turtle-ore-quarry/
All you need to do to change it from a "Quarry" script to a "Clear out space" is to open the code and change this line:
Code:
local bottomLayer = 5 -- The y co-ords of the layer immediately above bedrock
Just change it to the layer you want it to dig down to +1, and it will work perfectly.
