How much ram do you dedicate to minecraft to start with?

Then there is the fact you are using a notebook... these are no way reliable pieces of kit for trying to play modded minecraft on.
I believe that your graphics card is pretty sub-par, but dedicating 3gb of ram may help... but you will need to be running "craptop settings" (everything on low)

In the settings tab of the FTB launcher, you will see a slider. Slide that motherf- to 3gb (no more, or you will kill your laptop)

i5 is ok, but i7 is better :p As for for graphics card, you won't need the BEST you can buy, but the better you get the longer it will last/the better it will perform.

I'm not always best to ask :p

It's best to always ask here, or create a new thread that contains potential PC specs. More people will be able to give you a better idea on what you should change :p

I have the quad-core AMD version of the DV6... I had to upgrade to 8GB for other reasons but it MC runs ok. Not as good as a desktop, because all but the most expensive laptops run lower speed versions of their chipsets for battery power/heat reasons, but good enough.

I asked something earlier to something like this, I would like to know if the node from an Thaumcraft obelisk is needed for the portal.

"projectblue.ControlPanelRenderer" makes me think it's a Control Panel from Project Blue. "ForgeHooksClient.renderEquippedItem" looks like it's in the form of an item in your hotbar.

Keep the area around the node well lit, it shouldn't spawn any zombies.

On the topic of nodes, do Silverwood nodes enjoy bullying protection? There (remains of) a natural silverwood that had 2 nodes very close by each other. I've yet to notice any interaction between the two since I've been around. (I live quite close to the pair of nodes).

Applied Energistics 2:
Is it really more economic to use P2P-Tunnels or DenseCable for channel distribution?

In the tutorials I saw everyone says "DenseCable is expensiv. You don't want that running through your whole base. Use P2P tunnels instead.".
But when I look at the recipe I see that DenseCable only uses abundant resources except from 8 Fluix Crytals per piece.
But a P2P tunnel uses a diamond.
What's your preference and why?
