DW20 ran into this when he tried the activators while experimenting with bean automation... That's because the Activators are effectively player simulators, and all effects mimic live players. If it right-clicks on an edible object it will be "eaten" as if a human player had done the same.

Thaumcraft 4.1.0g: Golems
OK, so I placed down a golem but didn't click it on the alchemical furnace like I wanted so it's not picking up any essentia. How can I get the golem back without destroying it? I've tried right-clicking it with a wand, which I thought folks said would work. what option do I have here?

Does the crash report say something about DragonAPI, either Ars Magica or Random Things, and potions? If so open up config/Reika/rotarycraft.cfg (or whatever it's called) and change the potion effect ID (if I remember correctly, it's called "Frozen Solid") to 80.

If that doesn't fix it, post your crash log either here or in the Tech Support forum.

If I remember correctly, he had trouble with activators drinking water bottles and eating freshly-picked XP berries, too!

Try punching the golem (i.e. left-click) with a Golemancer's Bell.

Right-clicking with a wand worked in Thaumcraft 3, before the invention of that bell.

So, I just manually switched the GeoStrata version currently in Monster to the latest version. It crashed, so I also switched out the DragonAPI versions. It was still crashing, and since Reika says on his website that mixing versions might cause crashes, I also updated DyeTrees, ReactorCraft and RotaryCraft. However, it was still crashing, generating this crash report:

You have gregtech and Optifine. TiCo refuses to work with Greg tech but crashing the entire game is a bit harsh.

I've heard that before, but my game was working fine before, with both mods installed. When I revert Reika's mods back to their default versions (v19 I believe), everything worked just fine.

Oh @I_am_Jens, that crashlog also mentions no such method error in dragon API, are you 100% sure they are all matched and correct?

The log actually looks like some mod that uses @Reika 's API is balking at a missing method. Not sure what these guys are saying...

EDIT: at Reika.ExpandedRedstone.ExpandedRedstone.preload(ExpandedRedstone.java:69)

If I remember correctly, he had trouble with activators drinking water bottles and eating freshly-picked XP berries, too!


Try punching the golem (i.e. left-click) with a Golemancer's Bell.

Right-clicking with a wand worked in Thaumcraft 3, before the invention of that bell.

That's right... It wasn't mana beans, it was essence berries!

Judging from some of the crashing I've seen on Soaryn's Twitch stream (DW sometimes records episodes while Soarym is streaming) it's gonna be a while before 1.7.10 DW20 is stable, even though DW posted to Twitter that his list has been submitted to FtB for processing.

If you watch Soaryn's stream you can usually get some info about the state of some mods directly from the mouths of the mod devs themselves, as they tweak recipes or discuss causes of the crash that just happened, or Dire requests a feature etc.

Does a burning oil field ever burn itself out? I have a couple of eyesores near my base where lightning has struck some pretty tall oil spouts and they're ablaze on the ocean. Just wondering if I wait some amount of time if they will just consume all the fuel and go out or if I need to break out a bucket.
