2. Launch the FTB Launcher and click "Edit Mods" when you've click on the pack you want to add forge to.
3. Click "Open Folder" and click at the top -"1.6.4", you should see forge in there, delete it and put your forge in.
Exit out and launch the modpack!

Remove the current one and replace it with the updated one. Safe.

Yeah, just copy all the mods into a separate folder as a backup and you're good to go.
