Don't know for sure, but I would assume that it uses the same efficiencies as PowerCrystals' other mod, Power Converters- found here.
Do note, however, that the machines will only accept about 10 MJ/t at each face (if I remember that correctly- don't quote me), but EU is uncapped, as all EU-consuming devices are. Thus, if you want your farms to run lightning-fast, use EU. Note, however, that anything over Medium Voltage (128 EU/packet) may cause unwanted behavior (not tested).
Cool thanks, I'll make note of the 10MJ/t per face, once I have some upgraded solars those will suffice to power the farms.

prob been asked before but is there a complete newbies guide to bees that is written and not a video...? is so could someone please send me a link, it's just that a written guide is so much easier to keep up with than a video.

Anyone know the power usage of MFR machines? Are they more beneficial to run off of MJs or EU?
2 MJ=5 EU.
MFR machines can accept 128 eu/t.
10 mj/t per side, there are 6 sides (that you won't be able to use), so I'd say EU is the best for speed.[DOUBLEPOST=1367723743][/DOUBLEPOST]
Unfortunately, there's no TC on this world. Iirc TC can generate after initial world gen, so I might add it in later. Can it trade lava blocks directly? That would be an awesome way to harvest lava, and build your nether-tunnel at the same time.
That would be extremely fun, but...no
They should have a liquid version though, one that forces you to trade liquids though. A whole vein of oil traded for lava would look cool, or just water if you're cheap :p

Question about gates and multi-farms. What gate setting activates when it needs saplings? Dirt and Fertilizer are easy enough, can't figure out saplings.

Here's my setup, if that helps - it's hard to see but there's a gate inside that iron pipe to read the multi-farm.

Is there a way to export all items from an Applied Energistics network short of predefining all the items found in the network into multiple export buses?
Wanting to export everything mined by my turtles into an enderchest for sorting and storing elsewhere.

I believe you could use an IO port to extract the items, them pump the items out using conventional methods (BuildCraft pipes, RedPower tubes, Factorisation routers).

As in extract all the items in the mining network onto a storage unit and have that storage unit transported between the mining network and the storage/sorting network? Assuming that's what you mean (because as far as I've been able to test the IO port only transfers items between a network and storage units), that could perhaps work if I used multiple enderchests. One for the storage unit with things in it (Mining to storage) and one to transport it back when it's empty (storage to mining).

I wouldn't have this problem if extractors worked the same way as importers; Import everything unless otherwise defined.

EDIT
I took a screenshot of my current (Right) and proposed (Left) systems for transporting my items back to the storage network for reference. http://i.imgur.com/bGpBog1.jpg
Maybe there's an obvious solution that I can't see that someone else can, who knows. There's nothing wrong with my current system at all, I just thought I'd be able to make it more compact and efficient with AE.

Attach a storage bus to your Ender Chest, then remove all of the storage units from your network and place them in an IO Port to empty them into the Ender Chest.

After you've emptied those storage units, I'd recommend setting up your mining network so it has no other storage besides the Ender Chest, so everything gets sent straight to your other network. Or just remove the mining network altogether. Honestly, it'd cost a lot less quartz and be a lot simpler to just dump everything from your turtles straight into the Ender Chest rather than storing anything in a separate network at your mining site.

I did not know about the storage bus. It does exactly what I wanted and more. Thank you very much.

That's actually what I wanted. I was just unaware that you could move items around a network without some sort of AE storage. Again, thanks a tonne.

Hrm, another question (or 2). How many mB of sewage does it take to great 1 industrial fertilizer and also how many mB/t or mB/s does a single cow produce? Thanks, I might test it if need be.

i want to test out some forestry tree breeding, can i spawn in trees with specific traits?

I thinki there are some sort of Forestry console commands for bees. Unsure, but potentially something like that might exist for trees too?

Other than that, no I don't think you can spawn in specific traits.

There are no console commands in Forestry 2.0.0.11 that let you spawn in a specific tree, but you can give yourself saplings for the trees via NEI. These have the standard values of the trees, finetuning (like choosing if the balsa tree has slowest or fastest maturation) isn't possible.
