Anyone have a good set-up for the Essentia Piping? I want to eliminate the use of Valves and have they system direct it to reservoirs.

I'm testing the prehestoric mob farm on a creative world in Departed. I think it won't work. So far I think all I got was a bat. I have it covered and it's night, but because of the retarded amount of mobs spawned around here from AoA nothing seems to spawn on my slaughterhouse tower...

Edit: more details ands pics.

It is 22 Blocks high, since I read somewhere it is the right number to leave them ready for a kill. I've tried waiting at various distances at night with rain. The pics that are made in the day are just to illustrate the distance.

The spawn area is covered, 2 blocks high inside as explained on the video posted earlier.

Here are them pics http://imgur.com/gallery/hEZII/new
Try pillaring up 178 (two stacks and fifty) or so blocks above the bottom of your drop chute. That way, most mobs on the ground outside your mob farm will be more than 180 blocks away from you, and thus will despawn instantly. Unless AoA mobs don't behave like Vanilla mobs in that manner, but I doubt it.

They pretty much ignore everything of reason except half slabs and stairs. They spit on my puny torches and laugh at my walls (ghost mobs...).

What you said, do you mean I make the spawner taller and get my ass up there and wait for them to fall down? Or just make it taller? I don't understand well...

Mobs (hostile Vanilla mobs, at least; I don't see why AoA hostiles would change this) instantly despawn if they are more than 180 blocks from a player. So, if you can ensure that (almost) all of the potential spawn locations outside of your farm are more than 180 blocks away from you, any mobs there will vanish and not contribute to the mob cap. As such, the only place mobs can spawn and exist for any length of time is inside your mob trap.

The easiest way to get the Overworld surface, all caves, etc. outside of that 180-block range is to go 180 blocks into the air. Just don't go so high that the mobs will despawn before they reach the bottom of your chute.

AoA (as far as I can tell) has a hyper spawning rate. This is a problem when you are using natural spawns to use in your mob farm.

Think like a vanilla witch farm, you have to light everything up, or get high enough that you are only spawning mobs in your farm, and not in the caves or on the terrain.

*damn you Someone Else 37.. Sneaky ninja! :)

Is there an Essentia Router I can use to sort Essentia? Haven't researched any of the Thaum Energistics yet.

And where can I find Hungry Nodes?

Can anyone please tell me why a test set-up for a Thaumic Energistics System is suddenly not working? Everything is in the correct order and place and everything hace a channel.

There are aspect in the Advanced Alchemical Furnace and they're not going anywhere. I have all the storage cells necessary.

Found the problem, there's a bug in thaumcraft. The Sticky Piston has 3 Aspects, but only 1 has an amount.

Motus and Mechina are listed as having no amount. The AAF got stuck because it was trying to process an aspect that didn't exist, it read as zero when I used the Essentia Resonator.

It's to feed a Hungry Node in my Test World. Haven't found one yet in my Survival one. Where do they usually spawn?

They're not all that easy to find if you're specifically looking for one; however, some people here will tell you that they can be a right pain in the rear if you run across one by accident. If you see a random crater somewhere or mobs bouncing up and down in the air and taking damage, there's a good chance a hungry node is responsible. These effects are probably easiest to see in flat biomes, like plains or desert.

Also, feed it crafting tables. They have Fabrico on them, which breaks down into Humanus, which eventually breaks down into all the primals. And they're cheap. By far the best fodder for hungry nodes and deconstruction tables.

I'm pretty sure the essentia interfaces are export only, unlike normal me interfaces. You'll likely want an import bus instead (one is usally more than enough, especailly with acceleration cards.)
Do you guys know of anything that has all the primal aspects?
Any aspect that has humanous as a component, as well as humanous itself. Crafting Tables are likely the most easy to renew in survival, but wool, swords, flint, tools, bows, armor, rotten flesh all have them all too, so a hungry node is a nice place to drop excess mob dropped weaponry or armor. Also seeds are pretty good if you don't have another use for them.

I enchanted my Quantum Power Suit (W/GraviChestplate) and have the Power Fist from Modular Powersuits w/Teleporter Attachment. I stood on the Hungry Node in my Test World for Minutes without taking damage. Also had on an Ultimate Solar Helmet and Red and Yellow Heart Canisters.

I just need to find one of those things.

Good luck. May the RNG god be on your side.
