So I want to expand the wireless signal for the ME network, if there's no way to do it that's fine, and if there is a way, post a video tutorial or do step by step tutorial please. Thanks, much appreciated.

  • navigate to your minecraft/config folder
  • open up AppliedEnergistics.cfg in any text editor
  • use the 'find' command to search for 'D:base.wireless.range=16.0'
  • increase as desired
I'm playing on a server, but I can ask the owner to do it, thanks :)
Also, I can't find the FTB folder

On a server you can add 16 wireless boosters to your wireless access point. That will give you a range of 32. If you want to go further you can have multiple wireless access points.

I tried to put 2 more down and the range wouldn't increase, it was connected to the controller.

You need to move the 2nd wireless access to where you need access. Then run ME cable from it back to you main network. For example you a wireless access in your main AE storage room but you wireless access in the room used for your bees that is about 50 block away. Put a wireless access point in your bee room then run ME cable back to your main storage room and connect it to your existing network.

My network needs more power because i have the wireless a bit far, about 150 blocks from the main network but i have 2 nuclear reactors powering it and a huge solar panel factory. and it's still needs more power

Which mod pack are you using? Which other mods are around will determine what options you have. It also depends on what kind of resources you have available to you.

If you have Railcraft, look into creating a Steam Boiler and a series of Industrial Steam Engines (18 to be exact). That'll produce a significant boost to your ME Network's power budget.

If you absolutely want to use EU instead, and you don't mind burning through uranium, you can build a Tower of Power for 7k+ EU/t. That should give your power budget a hefty shot in the arm.

I'm using FTB ultimate, And i'll look into the steam boiler I just need a tutorial on the setup, thanks for all the help! :)

Well, first you will need a fuel source, and a SIGNIFICANT amount of this fuel source already stockpiled, because it's going to start consuming eight times as much fuel as it eventually will when it gets done heating up. Many people like using Fuel (using ExtraBees to make Oily Bees that produce combs you can squeeze oil out of to make fuel with). Others like using Ethanol from Forestry, although that generally gets to be efficient only after you've done some tree breeding as well.

You could always just go the charcoal route or the T5 Blaze Spawner route, of course.

I have about 3k coal in my network, how much do I need? I'll make the blaze spawner if needed.

You are probably going to want to have an industrial charcoal facility to be able to maintain supply. Which generally means an SC Tree Farm feeding wood into an Induction Furnace.

Alright all of this i haven't heard of so what is an SC Tree Farm?

You need more than 7k coal to heat up a full sized HP boiler. After that you need one piece of coal every 10 seconds. And if you use Charcoal, you need more than 14k for the heat-up and then a Charcoal every 5 seconds.
Blaze Rods? 28.5k to heat up the boiler, after that a rod every 2.5 secs. As mentioned above, the initial fuel consumption is eight times as high or a rod every 0.3 seconds. You probably won't be able to feed them in fast enough. :)

Whew... okay. I think perhaps now is time to start pointing you to the Tutorials and Guides thread stickied.

SC is Steve's Carts. I don't -think-, the nerf to the logging attachment went through before Ultimate, but I could be wrong. If it did, then you'll need a Galgadorian lumber module.

All of this is quite expensive, am i not better off making more nuclear reactors?
Charcoal is a renewable resource. Depending on how far you get with ExtraBees, uranium might or might not be. If you have Uranium Bees, then yes, a Tower of Power setup is probably better for you, assuming you can keep up with demand.

It is a pain to get my ME network to work, it doesn't even work when I run 1 machine... this is rather annoying, and I'm making a uu facility too and that needs power aswell
super annoying[DOUBLEPOST=1375302988][/DOUBLEPOST]If you could post a video of the tower of power setup that'll be nice.
