If you like dark, gritty, and bloody, I'd say Hellsing Ultimate, Tokyo Ghoul, (Tokyo Ghoul Re)
If you are into comedy, Gintama. Hands down one of the funniest shows.
For a fantastic visual styling, I'd suggest Kill la Kill.

Other's I'd generally recommend: FMA Brotherhood, the non-filler sections of Bleach.

I'm not into ecchi, i went to a friend once and he wanted us to look at that. Only saw first 2 episodes. I can say it was umm... interesting -_-
