A suggestion might be having the noise only appear around the monster, like mob noises. Seems logical, and would make the monster trackable by sonar goggles which would make everyone's lives easier.

But it'd be so USEFUL!But the preformance issues...
*looks at windows XP support ending on april 4th*But it'd be so USEFUL!
Also, psh, don't we all have a total and utter lack of FPS issues in Minecraft anyway?
Dunno what the issue is; my LAPTOP is a beast of computer! I mean, seriously, if you needed XP to run anything at a good speed, I'd say the issue isn't that your OS has issue, it'd be that your computer is garbage. Garbage full of Rare Earth Elements, mind you, but garbage none the less.*looks at windows XP support ending on april 4th*
*stares into your soul*
I'm thinking of getting a new computer soon what do you have?Dunno what the issue is; my LAPTOP is a beast of computer! Republic of Gamers laptop, made by ASUS.I'm thinking of getting a new computer soon what do you have?
It is meant to be the monster sounds echoing and distorted by the caves.Honestly, the noise still bugs me like crazy. I mean, for one, it seems to start around Y level 45 or something; way above the void. I'd rather it only start somewhere near the void, maybe Y level 15 or so.

I see, so it is garbage, and likely has no Rare Earth Elements anyway. Its a 10 year old system that has a hardware limitation of not being able to hold 2 gigs...
Hey! I can run TF2 at a stable 60FPS!I see, so it is garbage, and likely has no Rare Earth Elements anyway.
And I can play Crysis 2 at a stable 120 FPS in Multiplayer at full graphics. What's your point?Hey! I can run TF2 at a stable 60FPS!
I can run everything at high fps except for arma and minecraftHey! I can run TF2 at a stable 60FPS!
I've heard you referred to as Mr. 4000 fps... Is this in any way accurate? And I am presently dealing with a MystCraft age that drops me from 200 to 5 FPS.
4000? Not unless I am in vanilla with Optifine, and that was pre-1.5.I've heard you referred to as Mr. 4000 fps... Is this in any way accurate?
Apparently that is worth the same amount as a starbucks latte per day for a year (number dictionary is so fun). How hard wearing is it? I have been looking for a laptop that can perform well and can survive properly, I tend to break things.Republic of Gamers laptop, made by ASUS.
Cost me about $2k IIRC. Bit less since my sister worked at the store, but the employe discount was only 10%, so it was enough saved to get some Turtle Beach headphones and a new mouse.
The bloody thing has only lost a chunk of plastic frame and it's been in my "care" for about 6 months now. This thing is durable as fuck. Mind you, that chunk was off of a corner that I softly landed on a couch impacting it first, just ripped off like it wasn't sealed on correctly. So I either had battered that corner quite a bit without knowing it, or it wasn't sealed onto that corner correctly.Apparently that is worth the same amount as a starbucks latte per day for a year (number dictionary is so fun. Does the sound get quieter the further away from the bottom of the world it is? If not, that would kinda make sense.
Holy hell...The bloody thing has only lost a chunk of plastic frame and it's been in my "care" for about 6 months now. This thing is durable as fuck. The cord for it, eh, not so much. The Brick is losing the connection between the cable that goes into the computer and itself, but this happens to every laptop cable I get after a certain point.
As for Performance, well, the Internet used to say that it was Impossible to play Just Cause 2 on a laptop due to laptop graphics cards being shit; this sucker works great for it and more. And even crazier, it's got a quad-core i7 Intel CPU. Is that common? From what I've heard that's a beast of a CPU.
Only 16 gigs of Ram, too. Yeah, "only".
GPU, uh, that I admit is gibberish to me. Nvidia Geforce GTX 765m is what it says on the sticker, and I assume it's good. I mean, it can play Just Cause 2 on full everything with no lag, so it must be at least decent, yeah?
Isn't it great what $2k can get you these days?Holy hell...
