Hey. I've updated from 1.2.0 direct to 1.2.3 on my Creeperhost server. I've removed the chisel version and installed the fixed version as per the previous post and overlayed it over my existing world. There are no addtional mods and the only mods not installed from all the optionals are OPIS and EIRAIRC. Seemed all fine however I've been getting the below repeating messages every 4 seconds or so on the server Console. The server seems to crash at least once a day and now seems to be getting laggier and laggier. I'm not sure how to read the below but has anyone got any ideas?

Just to add servers got to the point of being pretty much unusable now with blocks rubber banding and reappearing after broken or vanishing after placing etc. Massive lag not sure if caused buy the above building up as it was ok for a day or two after update.

The version of Chisel 2 in 1.2.3 conflicts with a recent change in Railcraft and is the reason it is crashing. In addition the script error is also from Railcraft and involves a name change of firestone ore.

In order to fix the Chisel 2 issue you will need to manually update the mod to the dev version listed in this post.

Also the script error can be fixed by following Yulife's steps listed a few posts above your own.

Hello all just to answer my own question and incase it happens to anyone else.. No idea what is causing the above messages but it was NOT what was causing my lag. found the solution on https://github.com/The-1-7-10-Pack/The-1.7.10-Pack/issues/161#issuecomment-72996794 . Basically there is a weird bug with Extra utilities whereby if you place a ender-thermic pump too near a nether fortress it massively increases the spawn rate of wither skeletons. It was the 6000+ of these that had spawned that was killing my TPS and making the server unusable.

If you get it you can use the command /cofh killall witherSkeleton while in the nether and it will kill them all and give you enough time to remove the offending pump. I've used pumps elsewhere in the nether ok so its mostly just down to the proximity to the nether fortresses.

Tried using MultiMC instead of the FTB launcher yesterday, but the game never finishes loading. A couple of errors pop up in the console and then it eventually just stops doing anything.
I used the import FTB instances option in MultiMC to import the instance. Is there anything else you have to do to get it working properly through MultiMC?

Probably you running out of memory. Divide your PC's memory by half, enter it into both minimum and maximum and set the PermGen to 256.

Already had it like this, using 8 out of 24gb ram. Guess I could try setting it to 12gb
Jeez, 24GB? That's ... a lot. Anyways, I expected you to have 4 or 8 GB, haha. Too much RAM isn't good either, 4GB is the perfect match, if I remember correctly. Mind giving the paste? Did you update Chisel?

Yea, I use my computer for a lot of heavy rendering of different kinds so I need all the ram I can get, haha. I'm running the 1.2.2 version at the moment, didn't really feel there was too much to the 1.2.3 update for me. Think updating to the newest version would fix it for me? Can't get you a paste right now as I'm at work. If I can't get it to work when I get home I'll get back to ya.

Yup, it helps using the latest version if you get any issues ;)

Is there any chance for mods with other dimensions to be added? Like Erebus, Atum or even (too awesome to be planned) Nevermine?

Is there a big benefit to running this as a server on one machine, and a client on another? I struggle trying to run the full pack, and even a cut down pack is pretty brutal.

Running both server and client on same machine only help when you have multi cores CPU and large RAM (>= 12 G)
Or else your server and client will compete for resources which actually running slower

I'm talking in comparison to single player. (Which I realise is now a server/client in one, but wondering if that's what you're comparing it to)
