This modpack is built for a custom unique skyblock-adventure map. There are couple of things that make the modpack unique, apart from the map, - it has a couple of interesting mods pairs in it. There are some mods, that are usually not beeing installed into modpacks. It also has a pretty interesting magic-technic mods in it. It also has LOTS of recipes in it tweaked by MineTweaker, so it is a little more balanced. In addition, it is pretty well configured - for example, the Minechem mod is installed there, and it was configured pretty well. The last thing, that makes the modpack unique from others is a special mod, written specificly for this modpack - it was written by Modbder, and no, it is not a "MCreator", or not another "add more ores and tools mod". It is somewhat of a pretty strange EE type mod.

It is highly reccommended, that you play along with a special resourcepack, created for the modpack. It will drastically increase your experience.

If your map is lost(as well as a backup), you can download it here.

WARNING!
All the music in the resourcepack was downloaded from this location, and uses this conditions. If you want to make a youtube video, but are worried about youtube claiming the rights for the music read this.

Help:
If you are experiencing bad performance(low framerate) - break all blocks from DecoCraft mod on the map, and let the items dissappear. Expect your framerate to double, or triple after that!

If for some reasons some quests are not being completed, and you are 100% sure, that you are doing everything correctly use /hqm edit to give yourself a HQM book, where you can shift-click any quest to insta-complete it. Do not wait for us to fix the quest, but please, report the bug, so no other people have similar issues. ;)

About cheat mode - yes, that was left intentionaly, so if you are experiencing some glitches, like items not being crafted or something you can give them to yourself, and not get stuck.

If you are experiencing a problem and want to report the problem - please, do! But provide more information - help us help you. We can't help you if you are just saying "it crashed". Please, provide crashlogs - you can get them by navigating to the folder, where FTB launcher downloads your modpacks, find paradoxmodpack there, and in there your crashlogs will be located in the crash-reports folder. You are looking for the latest file there. If this folder does not exists you can grab a fml-client-latest.log from the logs folder. If there is none - just grab the latest file, that has the biggest size, that should be fine. Providing screenshots/pictures also is extremly nice - you just could not see something, that gives us, programmers a piece of valuable data. So, in short - the more information and screenshots related to your problem you provide, the more likely we are to fix your problem in short time, and we can't help you if you provide no information :(

If you have Java 8 - install Java8Forge Fix

Hmm only flaw i see is the missing mod that Ex-Astris not in the pack for auto sieving since i don't activators in thermal expansion work anymore for sieves. Unless it auto sieving causing the malfunction?

Actually, you are supposed to get resources using ParadoxMod, not the sieving from ExNihilio - if you had to use ExNihilio(or is it ex-nihilo?) It would be more of a clone of SkyFactory and other maps+modpacks of skyblock type. Ex Nihilio only exists in the modpack for easy medium-game clay production and for crooks, so random MC does not spoil your experience. Other features got disabled.

Sorry for the silly question. . . at the very beginning there is a sign that says you are not supposed to get quest book because game mode is bugging out. Then there is a sign that says to type "/hqm enable". Once I have typed /HQM enable I still don't have a quest book. is there another way to get the quest book?

The quest book is located on the table in the observatory. If you have a resource pack installed it will then look like one of the computercraft's pocket computers. Yes, we are aware that it might get skipped by some players then, and that is why we are wrighting a detailed guide "First steps in the MindfoldParad0x". Expect that to appear in this forum post in a couple of hours.
If you are playing multiplayer, and having only 1 HQM book is inconvivient - feel free to /give others more, it is totally fine. However, if you like to play fair, without cheating, there is a crafting recipe - it is, however, pretty expensive.

Edit: Here are some screenshots of the location of the book:
