If it's still not working and all looks fine feel free to join the server when I'm on and I'll tp you to me so you can see for yourself :p

Good idea :)[DOUBLEPOST=1411996212][/DOUBLEPOST]Guys I created my first InfiTech2 IC2 Reactor last night, and my first ever MOX reactor.

I wish I had taken screenshots. Maybe if Miguk logs on during the day he'll be really kind :p

Yes, it does look awesome. 800 EU/t, is it ? I like the flames that very clearly communicate it is a hot reactor.

I'm traveling this week, and all I have with me is my 32-bit laptop. No modded MC this week :-(

Anyway. If you want to play with EXBXL and not BoP there is pretty much no need to disable BoP. BoP is only getting generated when you set it in the server.properties or on the world creation.[DOUBLEPOST=1411997687][/DOUBLEPOST]
Still this error ?

at Vanilla.__script__(vanilla.zs:45

I haven't updated yet, so I don't know what's on line 45, but I'm guessing it's invoking a machine (function) from a specific mod. Am guessing Java can't de-reference the address of the function (method) to execute it. Suggest looking at line 45 of vanilla.zs .
Yes thats because BoP is disabled and on that line is specified Biomes o plenty ruby (and line afteris BoP sapphire). In the dev version i already fixed it by saying every item which is made by ExtraBees fragments and recreated that recipe with GT gems)

@Pyure @MigukNamja

Finally got it working! Stupid Muffler hatch. I didn't realize you needed it :p

It's all working and set up, now to continue stockpiling charcoal until my EBF is ready! I've not even started to construct that monster yet!

For some reason it wouldn't embed the image =/

Awesome :)

Your image was probably too big. I find the forum rejects anything over 1MB. Open it in MS paint or something, resave it as another format (jpg), you'll find it preserves the quality but drastically reduces in size.

Not sure if GT Steel pipes would look better considering... what do you use to power your boiler 24/7?

That fluid conduit will likely not be enough. I believe the bronze boiler outputs >= 500 mb/t, and the fluid conduit handles only 400 mb/t throughput with 100mb/t connections (or vice versa, I forget). You can verify this by accessing the valve when the boiler is at full efficiency. If the valve's internal tank is full, you're bottlenecking.

If you're going to use a buffer, just set the boiler right up against it, matching the boiler output to the railcraft valve.

To feed the boiler, we have a golem treefarm feeding an EnderIO alloy furnace (charcoal) which has a capacitor installed. The alloy furnace easily keeps up with the boiler's consumption rate. It doesn't run 24/7: when the steel tank is at 75%, the boiler shuts down until the buffer drops below 25%.

It doesn't seem to be bottlenecking at the moment but I've only run 1 stack of charcoal through it so it didn't have time to reach full efficiency, although I do see your point. I'll move it over asap.

I'm using good old Forestry tree farm, self powered with EnderIO alloy furnace for charcoal. The only thing it needs to fertilizer which I have loads of although eventually the supply will run out. I might look into the golems but I'm not very good with the whole 'magic' thing.

What are you using to automate the boiler activating and deactivating at certain levels of the tank being 25% or 75% full?

It was really easy. I took a redstone latch, an inverter (Not gate), some cobble structure pipes. I banged them together morosely for a couple hours, gave them to @LdaQuirm to figure out, and he came back in something like 14 seconds with a functional version.

@MigukNamja had to rebuild the same setup last night. He might remember all the specifics.

I'll try to provide you some screenshots. I honestly couldn't make my brain work that night and I haven't tried to since then :)

Guys, silly questions:
* Is there still an Information Panel of some sort? I seem to recall IC2 had one but I can't find the damn thing in NEI.
* Is there a away to transmit redstone signals at a given strength? Like if I have a 4-strength signal, can I transmit that somewhere?
* How are people doing their power storage displays (if any)?

So basically i should roll back to 1.1.2?
Well you can either keep BoP loaded with EXBXL and see if it wilm cause an issues, or just remove from vanilla.zs script the GT-ERR-01 section. In fact i guess i will do it in the next update, and will add ore dict converter for you to be able to change the errorred gems.

Screenshot InfiTech2 Fun!

1) New reactor. Wiring not done. Electrical poles not done. Will add some blockish buildings around the central one eventually. You can see the edge of the main building bottom-left.
2014-09-29_18.50.37.jpg

2) Inside the reactor. Very boring, just a single MOX reactor so far and its not even wired and infrastructured yet.
2014-09-29_18.50.47.jpg

3) Reactor produces 840eu/t at a "reasonably hot" core temperature. Can peak around 1000 eu/t but I don't like when it starts setting things around it on fire. Including me.
2014-09-29_18.51.03.jpg

4) Reactor power will probably run into this room or something nearby. This is the bottom level of the main base (not including mining and mob spawners)
2014-09-29_18.51.24.jpg

5) Our thaumatugists have kindly set up some golems to chop down trees. Wood gets piped into the power generation room you can see in last pic.
2014-09-29_18.51.42.jpg

6) View of the main base. Reactor is hidden behind it. The main base was once 85% cave and 15% good intentions. You also get a sneak peek at MigukNamja's new bee factory. He just started that on the weekend and its already coming along awesomely. I can tell I should have increased my view distance in this pic, woops.
2014-09-29_18.52.29.jpg

7) Inside the base is pretty standard and boring stuff. There's several of these GT "pods" set up. Power comes up from the basement into battery buffers, which share the power amongst a certain number of machines.
Of some interest is the fact that the main pod shown has 8x wiring because its served by a 9A battery buffer. I could have used a 2xA wire (I think blue steel does that), but since I didn't, I've placed a piece of garbage into the 9th battery slot to prevent someone accidentally dropping an extra battery in and overloading the wiring.

Everything is, at best, functional here. There's torches everywhere, holes in the ground/walls, and basically nothing looks good :p
2014-09-29_18.53.04.jpg

8) Primary Generation Room. The base is 90% powered from this room. Generation currently consists of 4 Railcraft Turbines (one hidden off to the left) for total 800 eu/t. They are served by a Large Steel Boiler, and a 36HP RC Boiler (neither visible here). Fuels are charcoal (not visible), and the 3 Fuel tanks shown (Methane, Diesel, Creosote Oil). Charcoal does 99% of the work.

Btw, not sure if Methane works in the Large Boiler, I may set up some Gas Turbines for that.

I really wanted to use GT Steam Turbines here, but its hard to justify them when the RC version is considerably more powerful.
2014-09-29_18.53.29.jpg

9) The Steel Boiler is set up flush to the steam tank. @MigukNamja kindly redid the logic for us. This thing works amazingly well.

well, i was feeling all accomplished having started on electrical stuff ... then i saw this ...

I also despise the basic jetpack, i'm so used to having the advanced ones from Gravitation Suite :(
