Is there any reason for this? The IC2 energy setup was allways expensive and quite a hassle to build. And that IC2 Drill was the only way to decetly mine int his game. You dont have to cut everything out just to make more gametime by making everything more grindy.

The station by itself is essentially a mirror to process two trains from both sides. The relevant part is a holding track(the second processing thingy) with three fluid unloaders matching the design of my train. It is unloaded down and sent to my base. It will then go down to the refill station where it will fill with water, charcoal and nitro-diesel.

The oil rig has an unloader for nitro-diesel and three tank detectors with an AND gate. When all three are filled the train is released and sent back. Rinse and repeat.

Oh and does anyone know the answer to my thaumcraft problem? My golems just stopped planting fir saplings :(

And, by some weird coincidence a lightning struck my train just before this :( , rip locomotive and 2 train carts.

So 2 tracks back and forth is the way to go? Ive been greedy and have tried to make it turn around and use only one track with some limited sucess :p How do you get it to unload in a timely manner with several unloaders? holding track on the locomotive or? What signal do you use to tell the train to move again? do you take the redstone signal from the loaders and transmitt it forward to the holding track ? . I think one of the problems with my setup is that i did not give it the space it needed. I can see that it would be much easier if you had some space to work with.

I use a holding track for the actual tank carts(at the station). They will release the tank carts or chest carts whenever they are emptied, and simply let everything else through. Since the tank carts arrive at the same time and unload at the same time only one is regulated by a holding track, they are all virtually empty at the end maybe a few mb left. If oil is your only thing to transport you don't need a lot of room, this is a setup for double processing both oil, mob farm and quarry.

You don't need multiple tracks if you are only doing an oil rig, but I plan to run a lot of trains simultaneously and then double track is easier.

And the signals are overkill if you only plan on one train, they are just used to avoid collisions :)

Also IC2 powered tools (wrench, drills, ...), and Gravisuite Gravitool and Advanced Mining Drill. (Yes that is the 3x3 mining tool, but there is a big chance that there will something comming down in the pipeline for 3x3)

NOOOOOO, I just made them ;( Does that include electrical tools like the electrical tap for rubber?
Althought i think the advanced diamond drill is a bit broken in how easy they are to make vs the cost as they are many times better than everything else when it comes to mining by a factor of about 3x3 :p

How do you turn a train around in a timely fashion? Some redstone signals to switch the tracks around?

Turn a train around? Do you mean like a T-Junction to send them back on the same rail? If that's the case, no you don't need redstone signals just use the switch track in a smart way :)

1) IC2 energy blocks allowed you to make lossless transport with item conduits (battery in/out). That is not possible with GT Energy Blocks and rechargeable batteries
2) RC Energy Carts allowed you to make again lossless energy transport
3) "why would I make GT electrical tools when I can have unbreakable IC2 ones"

There is no grind in these case added. It is only swapping redundant tools/blocks for those that already exists.

Only those that have equivalents in GT are removed. So tap stayed in.

Do we have now a method to transport EU over long distances?
Is our only option now the dimensional transceiver? EU -> RF -> EU?

@Jason McRay I really liked the charge pads ... -.-"

Oh and how will I get power out of the nuclear reactors now that stuff like MFSU is disabled?

1) Transporting Single Use batteries
2) Microwave energy transport (however its not really meant for long distances, its more of a powering machines wirelessly in your base)
3) Conversion is always an option
4) Cables all the way

Charge pads are kept in.

Same as before, just put a GT Transformer next to the reactor

Ah jeez I am stupid, used an MFE to gauge power output and for some reason I assumed it was a requirement, man that saves a bit of resources.

What is the best solution to get a large amount of lava without to much work, ender pump? Also i think all my tin, gold and copper mining days are over :p

Ender(thermic ?) Pump is the best way, yes. If you don't have enough portable or cross-dimensional energy yet, you can use Automagy's Thirsty Tank. It doesn't have nearly the range of the Ender Pump, but it requires no power and it's pretty cheap to make, assuming you've had at least modest progress in Thaumcraft. The Thirsty Tank is not unlocked automatically on the Automagy tab. You have to do some research on the bottom of the tab.

,
Railcraft water tank is cheaper

@ArchAngelThomas @Mikhail Krutov
Agree with Herminator here. The eIO Reservoir is not exactly early-game. The recipe is more mid-game-ish.

The rain tank, however, requires just wood, iron, and slimeballs. Slimes are common in Swampland biomes and underground (in the dark) in most other biomes. Just watch for their icon on your Journeymap and listen for their "squish squish" sound. Just don't build a rain tank in an Arid biome like a Desert and you're good.

I'm getting massive block lag which seems to be coming from my golem tree farm. I'm using 2 by 2 fir, with a lamp of growth.

MC 1.7.10 and this pack on top of it is a challenge for clients. My i4790k + 970 rig was not getting decent framerates until I added Optifine. I went with Optifine Standard. The super-aggressive Optifine HD would crash and/or have strange ghosting/rendering artifacts.

Something that makes me worried.

U6QkVRA.png'

First time I see this kind of talk from small guys, lol.

I've clicked through the guy for like 10 times, out of that there were ~3 nice puns (ctulhu speech, "I hate you", "I don't know thing about golem uprising"), other ones were mundane "I'll protect this area"

I think you only get those if you upgrade golems to 'Advanced' (far right side of the Golem tab).

Azanor has a healthy sense or humor. But, so far, my golems haven't actually risen up and killed me or refused to work, i.e. gone on strike. They just complain more often ;-)
