Hi! i'm new here but i got some problems with the new InfiTech 2 v1.1.7 modpack mods not being loaded by the new feed the beast launcher, i see a tweet from FTB official site that says "broke launcher #blamesprog" ... so i'm not sure if it is a problem with InfiTech 2 v1.1.7 or the new FTB launcher..

I can start the saved worlds just fine but no mods are loaded at all, not even FML gets to run, is there a way to manually fix this or should i just look to downgrade InfiTech 2 and the FTB launcher to a older one?

I love this pack and it got me into minecraft again, thanks for an amazing pack

P.S: I did a complete delete of most things and forced update on the FTB launcher (beta and non-beta) i just don't see why mods isn't being loaded.

-Edit: I tried installing another mod pack (FTBLite3) and it actually loaded the mods so i guess it is a problem with this modpack or my files

I dont know how to do it with the FTB launcher, but its pretty easy on multimc, there is a guide on how to use multimc earlier in the thread.

Just a question? Anyone reported the forge issue to Jason on GitHub? I see people mentioning it but no emails about it being reported?

Im just downgrading back to 1.1.6 until i figure out how to change the forge or it gets fixed in a patch/fix update. Btw to everyone. Fastcraft is fantastic for this pack. it really does make a difference. when i updated it was super slow and when im moved back to 1.1.6 it dropped fastcraft. so when i loaded my world i had to move down to lowest everything and only at 4 render chunks. when i put it back on i could go up to 7 render chunks without changing to fancy or anything like that.

Seems to be an issue with this pack and forge as far as I'm aware but I'm at work at the moment. Please can someone report it to Jason via GitHub ASAP so he can look into it (if it's not already been reported)

Seems to be an issue with this pack and forge as far as I'm aware but I'm at work at the moment. Please can someone report it to Jason via GitHub ASAP so he can look into it (if it's not already been reported)

Submitted an issue and i found the downgrade button and notice how long it loads again! (yay it works!?) is there a way to backup everything without depending on FTB servers? (i can see that being a problem in the future)

About the wrong forge version. Sorry about it, the fix is comming (i hope) it will be either ninja update oif 1.1.7 or will push the new version 1.1.8 with the fix.[DOUBLEPOST=1414422536][/DOUBLEPOST]So for now please use the 1.1.6 version. Okay so i am having an issue. i have fun playing this pack and then all of a sudden i start getting lag. i thought it was fps lag and then i found out it wasnt. i looked on the console and its coming up with a bunch of lines in red reading about errors with "FutureTask" then i cant do anything and minecraft crashes and when i try to keep the console up and running cause i have it reload back up after its closed i cant click on anything or do anything and im force to kill it with task manager because it starts to lag out my entire computer for anything. Help please? I know that you will say that i should post the issue to Github and i cant really post it to GitHub cause it wont let me select anything to copy or leave a crash report anything like that. So i cant really have proof of anything unless i take screen shots.
It also wont let me select or scroll up on the console to look at it.

That's why I included picture two. It records whatever is in the log. Oh, and remember to set the log to debuff. (If you don't know where it is, it is in the folder where the .exe is)

Make sure you have up-to-date Java (you need Java 7) enough allocated memory. If that will not help, try to completeley delete InfiTech 2 and redownload it (select the version 1.1.6 because 1.1.7 is totally broken).

You could use MultiMC, it will make a copy of your FTB instance and separate it from FTB launcher.
That way you can upgrade as much as you like in multiMC (Like get the latest Forge version and run 1.1.7) and it wont mess with your FTB version at all.

5.75 GB?!
You must of missed the memo about Java and ram, anything over 4 gig is wasted and you can launch this pack on 2 ... i do it but i'm using someone elses Java args too, so i dont have to allocate insane amounts of ram to the game.

Hmmm...my client is stable so far. If it is leaking, it's not enough to cause stability issues. No *knock on wood* crashes or unexpected client exits so far.

Same Java version. Perhaps the difference are the args, which I dutifully copied from another thread that discusses 1.7.x performance woes. Here are my client Java settings on my 4-core processor:

I have 16GB of RAM, but I'm setting MAXHEAP and MINHEAP to 2GB each.

@Lemonfreezers - this may help, these are from page 4 in the thread, @MigukNamja posted them and ive found them to be most helpful.
To users running on Multi MC REMOVE THE FOLLOWING PHRASES:

 -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -XX:PermSize=256m

or the launcher wont accept the arguments, that segment is configured manually through the config menus on multimc.
OH and memory and ram? basically the same thing in the sentence you used them in
