Leave the folder in and do a force update on the pack and see if it does the same thing. Also restart you PC first.

Hmmm. I just repeated it; deleted the Ingenuity folder, redownloaded the whole modpack (1.2.0), and achieved the same result.

Once you duplicate the older mods, the pack launches normally.

Now that makes even less sense, as they aren't all the mods that got updated o.o

I honestly have no idea why that is happening. I can assure you I didn't do that, as I always send the folders from my instance (which I obviously run to make sure they work)

It shouldn't, as they are completely different version numbers

It can be changed or used to. He could check the download location just to be sure.

I have done all you have asked, with the same result. No idea what is causing it.

Its not a big deal, I can play the pack just fine after deleting the older duplicate mods, just wanted to bring the issue up in case others were having the same issue.

I just updated Infinity from 1.6.1 to 1.6.2 and Hubris from 0.8.0 to 1.3.1, both launched with no issues.

Checking the Ingenuity compound file at the dynamic folder location (C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\ftblauncher\ModPacks\Ingenuity), it has the duplicate mods in it as well.

Could have something with the file transfer to ftb? And it does it with the other patches as well or just the latest one. That is weird. ROFL

I installed this pack last night and have never had it installed before (though I have played plenty of other FTB packs) and I got the duplicate versions of the JAR's as well. I deleted them and the pack started fine for me.
When I first had problems with the pack, I deleted and reinstalled the pack from scratch and got the same problem. Not sure if that helps, but something is definitely broken somewhere.

You may want to put a notice about it in your OP, people may not give the pack a second chance if they try to install it and do not know why its not working or how to fix it. I do not know if 1.2 is recommended yet or not, if it is not then many people may not experience the issue as they are still on the previous version.

Check the version you sent if it is not like that the you will have to contact ftb team and dee if they can help figure out. If you use a program to update the mods it could be doing it.

I dealt with the uploading of the pack
I know what went in there, and when I uploaded it, I only uploaded the latest mods. I don't know why it decided some of the old mods decided they were supposed to be there too

The issue seems to be that the launcher is outdated.

If you are trying to download the pack, and get multiple files. Update the launcher

Is there a newer version than 1.4.7? That is what I have been using (and have been experiencing the problem with your pack). I do not see a newer version, and the version available for download is 1.4.7.

Guys, please if you have problems (with launcher) always post a log:

In the launcher's options tab, check the boxes "Show Console" and "Reopen launcher when Minecraft exits". Then launch your pack again and when the crash/error/other problem occurs/game stops responding longer than 5 minutes, click the "upload log" button in console window and give us the link.

That will make finding cause of the problem faster.
