I wonder if you can fix the Beegonia by removing/readding the recipe via Modtweaker? If I have time tonight, I will try to update those 4 mods, cuz I really want the new version of Magic Bees. :)

Not reading 55 pages, but my first impressions are as follows.

1. A LOT more explanation. The quest book is great and all, but some stuff is worded poorly. It'd be great if it was a lot more in depth.
2. Having the quest book remove the items you previously got from a quest to progress. I don't know if this is intended but if it is, it seems silly. Losing items you need to play with the bees makes it pointless.
3. Starting out takes wayyyyyyyyyy too long. Please add a starting quest with a bed so we can skip nights, as starting out with the bees given, they only work during the day time.

Other then those that I can think of right now, I like it. I am new to bees, this being the first time I've ever used that mod. I would love to continue and learn more but this pack just needs more explanation.
  1. First of all, I'm portuguese! Sorry if some quests are bad written, but I tryed so hard to correct them... I try to make them more clear as possible, but please, correct me! About the "in depth" thing: I cannot agree with you... Althought the pack can be played by everybody, I thought very carefully for people that don't know how bee things work... I garantee that more than 80% of the people don't read the texts and come here saying that something doesn't work... Sorry to say, but if you read the quests, in the Back to Basics especially, you'll see that they are well explain (despite the mistakes on grammar and some incorrection in the sentences) and you have answer to everything... If you want to discuss anything about this point, fell free to send me a message or post more things here! I'll be happy to answer and help you :)
  2. The Carpenter is for you to get a little "smell" of what you are going to have in the pack... I already saw a lot of controversy about this quest, and I already answer it a lot of times! And I don't mind answer it again! About the Gendustry stuff on the left side of the quest book - and because you didn't read the 55 pages - I'll say it one for time: Tutorial Quests!! There are for people to learn how to use Gendustry and do some mutations! You have to give them back because I don't want everything to be delivered without any work... Tedious? Might be(e)... But if you explore the quest book, will see that I give you a lot of Gendustry Machinery... And yes, they cost a lot... Althought I agree that it might lead to some confusion, if you play it a few more hours (1 or 2), you will see that you'll get a lot of machines that in the beginning you have to deliver them... Tutorial quests, keep this in mind...
  3. Wool is delivered in a quest, in the Back to Basics... And why not after? Because I want you to explore why the bee does not work during the day... The pack is for you to explore too! Don't ask me to give everything in the first quest...

Was wondering is ”Productivity" quest in Back to Basics bugged? Can't seem to claim the rewards.
You have to have space in your inventory because the frames do not stack! (I'm guessing that this is the problem?)

1. A few things may need rewording. Not too difficult to figure out mind.
2. Those are the tutorial quests. You'll get all your gear a bit later on.
3. Theres an early quest that gives wool as a reward.

When you go to claim the reward, there's a 'pick one' section regarding the apiaries (you don't get both.) Are you selecting the Industrial or the standard? I chose the Industrial and it worked fine.

I tried both - tried one, click, didn't work, so tried the other, click, still didn't work. It is the only quest in that section that I don't have - unless that one unlocks other quests in there?

I have more than 9 inventory slots to accept rewards too.

Edit: Just saw the other reply about more inventory slots - probably that. :rolleyes:

Just as a note, it's only the three bee-related recipes that are messed up (of course, those were the primary ones I was looking at, go figure!) Hiveacynth, Hibeescus, and Beegonia.

Spent today expanding my storage arrangement - I have a small bank of 'resource bees' (mostly the metals, but also Excited, Diamond, and one for silky wisps) that feed their nuggets into a chest and any other product into the main system. Those combs that need centrifuging get shunted off to be centrifuged and then loop back - the silky propolis gets a second pass through the centrifuge. The Aluminum Oreberries pass all the way to my Smeltery, and get fed in through a hopper, and I rack those off as I get enough for a block.

Mind you, this will all be obsolete once I get an ME system, but it's so much fun to watch!

It's the problem that I said... Different versions means different API levels... I'm having a lot of trouble updating Binnies Mod...

Hey guys! I was thinking of restarting this pack, and restricting myself to only do the "Forestry method" of breeding bees. (That is, I won't use the Gendustry Machines except for the quest.) Also, I plan to make my own bee houses, apiaries, etc., and not use the industrial apiaries/apiaries provided. (Yes, I like hardcore stuff, that's why I loved "Crash Landing") So anyhow, my question would be, "Is this thought even possible?"

Not reading 55 pages, but my first impressions are as follows.

1. A LOT more explanation. The quest book is great and all, but some stuff is worded poorly. It'd be great if it was a lot more in depth.
2. Having the quest book remove the items you previously got from a quest to progress. I don't know if this is intended but if it is, it seems silly. Losing items you need to play with the bees makes it pointless.
3. Starting out takes wayyyyyyyyyy too long. Please add a starting quest with a bed so we can skip nights, as starting out with the bees given, they only work during the day time.

Other then those that I can think of right now, I like it. I am new to bees, this being the first time I've ever used that mod. I would love to continue and learn more but this pack just needs more explanation.

3. Uh I think a good way is to spend the first (few? two? depends how fast you are) night(s) doing some Agricraft, specifically crossbreeding for cotton. I BEElieve it shouldn't take too long with the watering can :)

Hey guys! I was thinking of restarting this pack, and restricting myself to only do the "Forestry method" of breeding bees. (That is, I won't use the Gendustry Machines except for the quest.) Also, I plan to make my own bee houses, apiaries, etc., and not use the industrial apiaries/apiaries provided. (Yes, I like hardcore stuff, that's why I loved "Crash Landing") So anyhow, my question would be, "Is this thought even possible?"
Well, you'd need to bootstrap to get combs for your first bee houses, but you could select the standard apiaries as rewards and use those then toss em. Some quests require you to turn in gene samples, so you'd have to invoke Gendustry at some point if you wanted to complete the HQM. I feel like it would be very painful to go that route.. :)

I did take me 3-4 hours with the old apiary to get the 8 honeycomb and 8 damp comb as at this point I had no frames.

In this time I bred all my plants up to 10/10/10 but didn't do any cross breeding, so it was not completely wasted time but it was a long time to have to keep putting the bees back in. Could the number of damb/honey combs be halved to speed this bit up a bit?

Also I am convinced I am unlucky with Bees, despite enjoying bees they never seem to create their combs etc for me in any pack I have played LOL :)

As a note on the tutorials, the last one where you have to hand in the modified fertility 4 rocky bee, could the quest be re-worded to make this clearer as I modified a different bee and then found out that I couldn't hand in a rocky bee. I assumed it was because it was not fertility 4 so I can't get the chunk loader OR make it a two part quest where you hand in the modified rocky Bee first and then hand back in the machines after to get the reward?

I'm not missing out on the chunk loader anyway as I am playing single player local so it doesn't do much for me

Oh yeah... I need to get a gene sample of Species: Botanic... (So... I guess there are going to be exceptions.... XD)

It's the problem that I said... Different versions means different API levels... I'm having a lot of trouble updating Binnies Mod...

Oh yes -and after my experiences with another modpack, I'm not surprised that Botania has become an issue. I was only pointing it out in case you went with the MineTweaker suggestion.

As it is, I've redistributed the eight Beegonias that were given as a quest reward, and four of them are quite happily filling a pair of Mana Pools while I prep for that Elven Gateway. The other four are currently split between the Runic Altar and the pool next to the site for the Terrestrial Agglomeration Plate
