I tried the former, but not the latter. Update my forge to what exactly? This is what I mean by not giving me enough info.
1) easy fix is to go into coremods folder and remove NEI from there.
2) better fix you need to go and download the latest version of the 1.5.2 version of Forge API, go to the modpack's instmod folder and clear it out and put the forge API .zip there. Then go and delete the modpack's /minecraft/bin folder and restart from launcher.

Anybody need any help with getting onto the server ?
Everyone else seemed to get it fixed with the info provided. I will explain 'properly'
There are 2 fixes for this, either remove NEI and NEI plugins which are found in CoreMod folder and Mod Folder respectively, or
Update your Forge to the latest forge, this can be done by removing the current forge version (710) from your Instmods folder and replacing it with the latest Forge which can be found here http://files.minecraftforge.net/ the latest version is 7.8.1.738 at the top of the list although the current 'recommended' version is 737.

- What do you bring to the table? Im wierd, funny, and live in the US. In FTB i tend to do more work with IC2 to automate stuff.
