So my main problem with this modpack is that CraftGuide does not show TE machine's recipes. Is there anyway of fixing this?
Working on it. Looks like I'm going to have to write an Addon Mod for it. Fortunately both CraftGuide and ThermalExpansion have well documented API's.

Most of the machine recipes in TE are fairly self-explanatory. Pulverizers make 2x Pulverized <ore> plus an occasional small chance of making a bonus <different ore>. Sawmills are obvious. Induction Smelter only has Hardened Glass it has as a unique recipe. It would make it a lot easier to figure out how to make Redstone Energy Cells and Tesseracts to have the Liquid Transposer recpies in there

  • Texture Pack. I'd suggest JSTR personally, since it has an excellent steampunk vibe. Keep in mind that I don't think Natura or Tinker's Constructs has any texture packs out yet, so their worldgen might seem a bit out of place

Just a heads up for JSTR, not all of our textures are converted to 1.5, and the ones that are converted, are very buggy.

UPDATES for 1.1.0 (to be turned over to the FTB Pack Team earlier this week for updating on Thursday):

* Adventurer's Backpack will now carry all your tools. I -think- I even got it to carry all your Tinker's Construct tools.
* All microblocks will go into the Builder's Backpack.
* Ghetto fix for stretched splash picture until such time as I can beg, borrow, or pay for a decent one.

FTB Ultimate doesn't have Tinker's Constructs or Natura, so setting ID's to match FTB setting wouldn't help much. Therefore, leaving the ID's alone to be friendly to the people currently using the pack. For those who wish to add mods which conflict, I suggest ID Resolver to take care of Block/Item ID conflict issues.

If there are any other features you wish included in this update, speak now or wait a minimum of another week to get them implemented.

Yea, the problems with RP2 is 1) it isn't updated to 1.5.x, 2) I don't have permission, and 3) RP2 got nailed by 1.5.x... almost as bad as the 1.3 update actually. Remember, it's roots is redstone mechanics, which got completely changed. A good third of the mod now has to be completely re-written. That's... gonna take some work-hours.
I just feel a need to comment on this. Redpower's redstone stuff is completely custom, the only effect 1.5 has on it would be eloraam's desire to add new stuff to match the vanilla stuff. But regardless, it is unlikely redpower will update anytime soon, so the effect is the same.

Really? I thought the redstone signal strength mechanic totally borked up the way she did her red alloy wire stuff

NEI is easy to install on your own.

I'm happy either way re: the configs. Honestly, whatever is easiest for you. If you decide to sync up with FTB configs, I can start over, no big deal.

UPDATE SUBMITTED.

Hopefully the update will go through on the regularly scheduled update time of Thursday or maybe Friday, depending on how busy the selfless FTB Mod Pack Team is.

The decision to conform to FTB Block and Item ID numbers has been tabled because I am running 'newer' versions of the mods, which have items and blocks which have not yet been incorporated into the official FTB packs yet, and as such there would be some incompatibility with these new items and blocks. Plus, I am incorporating mods not currently used by any official FTB packs (such as Natura and Tinker's Constructs), so I wouldn't be able to get them to conform anyways. Once FTB releases packs with this data, this decision may be reviewed.

THIS UPDATE MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR YOUR SAVED WORLDS. BACK UP YOUR DATA BEFORE UPDATING!

While I didn't experience many problems personally, since this is a version update from MC 1.5.1 to 1.5.2, there could be problems I missed. Furthermore, I've included the newer-than-tomorrow Forestry 2.2.4, which might cause a slight incompatibility problem with your current version of Forestry. It shouldn't be -too- major, I didn't see any problems, but again there might have been something I missed.

The shortlist:
  • Minecraft ver 1.5.2
  • Most mods updated to conform to minecraft version update
  • Natura saplings berries, and bushes now fit comfortably in your Forester's Backpack
  • Tinker's Constructs Oreberries and Bushes also now fit comfortably in your Forester's Backpack
  • All microblocks should now fit in your Builder's Backpack
  • Your Adventurer's Backpack is now a Tool Bag, all Tinker's Constructs finished tools (not parts), as well as all wrenches, hammers, crowbars, and any other tool I could find will now fit in the Adventurer's Bag. I think I may have missed the Modular Powersuits tool, hopefully you won't want to bag it very often.

I've been playing with these mods. And even though it's a preety simple modpack, the fact that it is 1.5.2 and has my favourite mods in it is really cool, actually. Farms are now actually challenging, and with only one power system, getting everything running is preety simple.
I like it.

Sorry for noob-ish guy here, but I can't really play it. I had to move the mods to an instance in MultiMC because I wasn't exactly able to play.
In fact, it shuts down the FTB program when I try to play.

Looks like the update went through smoothly. If it doesn't automatically select 1.1.0, please do so.

Remember that this update changes the version of minecraft to 1.5.2, so back up your world before updating.

If there are any issues related with cross-mod compatibility, let me know.

Trying to update to 1.1.0 and there's no change, at all. I delete the entire pack and all files for it (not a loss since I had imported it into MultiMC anyway) and it doesn't download anything for 1.1.0. It just gives me vanilla 1.5.2. I'll give it another shot later in case things are just being slow, but wanted to let you know about this just in case.
