This isn't really the place to discuss the validity of PVP in minecraft (nor argue about it being enabled on the server) and to be completely honest, at the present time the people who frequent the server choose not to engage in PVP and rather choose to work together.

Yeah, there's the option to /lock machines/chests/blocks aside from any craftable items in-game that can be made to provide protection for valuables.

I removed Twilight Forest and there's been a noticeable decrease in lag.
