Why don't the modders just choose an MC version and mod on that? They could get everything out, and have a full, complete modpack. They would update every other version or so.

I will keep IC2 because I'd rather make a nuclear power plant than a bunch of force engines. (with Gregtech especially) it actually adds challenge, all the other mods are just too easy and flat out boring IMO

disable MPS and add GT if the modpack does not have it turn on every nerf I possibly can and play hardmode its a fun challenge

to process ores, I usually start out with a grindstone + turtle combo (I've never thought of slag furnaces) Creating a zombie pigman farm is the first thing I try to do. (infinite iron, gold, and diamonds!) Then a steve's carts tree farm.
