    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Ah, right. Forgot that one. I'm kind of pedantic on wasting oil so I ignored that recipe even existed :D Just 30%? I'd love to see the math on it. Admittedly, last time I checked the math on it, GT was still 4.something but IIRC, numbers were almost at 100% and there were only two types of fuel...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

By "glyceryl" you mean carbon? All this only means you'll be a bit less efficient in terms of EU production. I haven't calculated it but using MV machinery to make it, while increasing EU usage 2x, won't really make a significant dent in the amount of nitrodiesel your production line will make...

What age can I drink RedBull?

Problem is many people are too stupid to realize if/when they harm themselves or others around them.

Doing some research in the newest IC2_Exp build[138]

So far it sort-of kind-of is :) It would be significantly better if modders would bother to add basic config options for their stuff. Power use and alternative recipes would be the most basic way. Adding things like BC with single-use and limited-depth quarries is even better. I personally...

Doing some research in the newest IC2_Exp build[138]

the quote I had in, well, quotes was made here: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/doing-some-research-in-the-newest-ic2_exp-build-138.30815/page-9#post-431319 and indeed it was by you :) Only thing that "disturbed" me about what you said was that you never mentioned nerfing others in some...

Doing some research in the newest IC2_Exp build[138]

Sorry, it was said by a different user and I messed up. What was said was "I like the mining laser it is pretty cool. But maybe it is time it got buffed a bit because for what it does it cost an awful lot of material and energy." Why not instead balance the other tools to be in-line with the...

Wondering what laptop or desktop to buy? Stop here and take a look for basic information.

It would help if you'd mention that the amount of cores and clock speed should NEVER be directly compared between CPUs (and GPUs) from different manufacturers or generations. The amount of vram on graphics card will be significantly more important as soon as games targeted for next generation...

What age can I drink RedBull?

Technically any amount of alcohol has negative effects on all things living. Only question is how long it takes to recover and if it has permanent effects. But but wine! Yeah, (some) wine does have some good stuff in it but that's in addition to the bad. Answering the original question, man...

Doing some research in the newest IC2_Exp build[138]

Eu reader probably won't be fixed before the e-net reworking is finalized Perhaps so but didn't you just say "I don't use IC2 tools as others are far more powerful"? I've seen the disturbing trend amongst both some modders and players that they choose mods according to how OP they are. It's...

Doing some research in the newest IC2_Exp build[138]

So what you say is more OP = more fun? The machines that are in non-experimental IC2 have been made to work in experimental and are working pretty much the same way they used to. They added a TON of new features, though not all of it is finalized yet. If you hinted at the plates instead of...

Doing some research in the newest IC2_Exp build[138]

Plate changes were made ages before greg joined the team. Greg ONLY works on bugs and API, all the feature developing is by other people. Greg has stated several times he has no need to rework the IC2 balance, he has his own mod for doing that.

What one addition or change would you make in the 1.6 FTB content?

That's mostly on optifine part. Its author forbidding the mod to be included in any pack, including FTB, doesn't help much.

You are missing the point that it has never been about the fact that his recipe was changed. It has always been about the way HOW it was done

    Dirt to UU-Mater

That assumes that the modder does the modding for the community and doesn't have valid reasons behind his/her decisions. The ones about tin buckets and bronze are very much valid within context of GT and it's tech progress. Also, in case you didn't know, there are mods out there that do enable...

Should modders cave to all wishes users might have?

Greg Tech opinion discussions go here

Slow has confirmed there will be two packs and the one containing GT will be tailored specifically to follow the design concept of GT. Exactly the same thing can be said about what features modders choose to implement and what they decide to provide as default config values :) Offtopic: am I...

What one addition or change would you make in the 1.6 FTB content?

Somewhat funny fact is that IC2 and it's addons have several ways to do just that :)

    A replacement for frames!

Yeah, the "problem" was SD didn't like that jakj provided a patch to fix a longstanding bug in soulshards that SD left unfixed for months even though jakj had provided him the exact code needed to fix it. When jakj got fed up waiting and published the fix SD threw a tantrum and quickly added the...

Greg Tech opinion discussions go here

    1) I support the nerfs 2) I've never supported the crashing 3) I understand why he doesn't care about FTB users 4) I assume this but as we have zero data about it we can't be sure I should also reiterate that greg mainly makes the mod for having fun in MC himself. He just is kind enough to...

About difficulty/tedium and the terms we use (GT and similar)

People claiming wood nerf (and requiring plates-tools) to be pure tedium and in no way increases difficulty have apparently missed what I have said about it earlier: Exactly the same thing can be applied to all sorts of other "artificial time sinks"
