    Well it appears that whilst items do indeed need to be pulled from the bottom (thank you for that btw :)), the bottom is also where the heater needs to be. EDIT - Scratch that, it's working now!

    Well the heater works a lot better and I actually ended up just running lead cables to the batteries powering my lacerator so that worked out rather nicely :) Still no luck in pulling the items out of my slag furnace though.

    Cant Install optifine onto FTB Beta pack using Multi MC

    OK, so here's what worked for me using the newest FTBBeta and Optifine 1.4.2 HD_U_A6; I opened both Optifine and the MinecraftForge Zip files using WinRAR and dragged all the Optifine.zip files over into MinecraftForge.zip within the folder labelled instMods.
