I'm having the same issue. There's an area of my base that was on fire (not monster related) and now it can't be lit by lava or vibrant quartz. Only torches seem to work. Very odd.

AE silicon converts into diamond wire if you hammer it. There's no recipe in NEI for it, so I'm assuming bug rather than hidden feature.

I'm having some issues with water freezing in the latest version. I have a couple of big pools of water (outside, but covered), and since I updated they seem to freeze instantly as soon as I walk over them (although they look like water up to that point). They're also behaving like a cross...

I haven't gone far into Botania yet (I don't have the eye of galgador, which seems to block progress). The openblocks vacuum is pretty good, but the flaxbeard one has a huge range which is helpful sometimes. Plus I had to make them for a quest, so I figured I might as well try them out.

Flaxbeard vacuum update - started crashing my game again. I think I may give up on them, they just seem too buggy.

An update. 1) Yeah, I'm just dumb. 2) I don't have blaze powder yet (I should get around to building that farm soon). It seemed to fix itself after a couple of restarts, I'll keep an eye on it. 3) Thanks. 4) Well, I was planning a mob farm anyway...

A couple of issues I'm having, not sure if it's bugs or I'm just missing something. 1) I can't find any lava under the base, there's just a vast sea of gravel over obsidian. I'm going to try digging through once I manage to make a tool that can mine obsidian, just to check if there's anything...

I deleted the vacuum in MCEdit and that seemed to resolve things. I'm about to build some more so we'll see what happens.

I'd like to help (since bugs killed my ME3 run), and I can probably stream as long as you don't want me to actually commentate :) I'm also a programmer, so I know how to do proper bug reports. Are you planning to use some sort of bug tracker? Most of the online version control systems have one...

Just bumping this to add that the chunk also seems to have contained all of my ME drives. Is there any chance of either fixing the broken chunk or recovering the contents of the AE system?
