Institutional Hypocrisy: FtB's role in infringing Mojang's copyright.

Which is precisely why the majority of people in this community are miffed about it. Who knows why the nether this was brought up, but now that it has been, there's a very real possibility that it could destroy the entire MC modding community.

Institutional Hypocrisy: FtB's role in infringing Mojang's copyright.

Because in this instance, "no response" is the exact legal response that means "continue as previously." If they give express permission, it can damage further pursuit of people who maliciously use Mojang assets, therefore, they will not. By not pursuing legal action in this instance, they are...

Institutional Hypocrisy: FtB's role in infringing Mojang's copyright.

This has zero to do with FTB, frankly. We didn't make the mods who are using the retextured assets, and we don't own or police the rights to begin with. Tell Mojang if you have that petty of a life. It's their stuff. If they pursue it, they'll contact the mod makers. If they don't, which they...

    Seeking: Getting Started Guides

Firstly, Merry Christmas! Secondly, yes, you can feel free to submit anything you'd like that we have requested for the wiki, including any getting started guides we already have submissions for. We may like yours better, or we may combine several people's contributions in to one awesome guide...

    Seeking: Getting Started Guides

Logistics Pipes has fairly limited content, and will be largely dependent on the Buildcraft guide. We won't really need a "getting started" article for it, just articles on the individual added pipes. Also, Logistics Pipes hasn't been updated to 1.4 yet, and is not going to be in the pack until...

    Seeking: Getting Started Guides

Hmm. I could've sworn you said you were working on an IC2 guide. My bad. Reeding iz hards. Although GT can change the quarry recipe to use a diamond drill instead of pick axe.

    Password Issues

I wanna say since Scrolls went into closed Alpha. They wanted you to be able to log into all Mojang games with one account name.

    Seeking: Getting Started Guides

I would prefer the guide for IndustrialCraft to contain information on how to start both with and without GregTech, and also a simple explanation of how to tell if GregTech is being used for newbies. I will have a separate article explaining GregTech's changes in detail, but that is not needed...

Macerator or induction furnace - What to start with?

Chests are still useful for all of those intermediary components used in crafting. I doubt you need a barrel for Redstone Conduits. :P

Macerator or induction furnace - What to start with?

The advantage of the Macerator is that it can be upgraded into a Rotary Macerator once you have the infrastructure to support it, as long as you have Advanced Machines installed as well. The Rotary Macerator is faster than the Pulverizer by far, even when the Pulverizer has a full energy bar...

    Red Power 2 News

The whole of Minecraft's source is being gutted and recreated. Notch never intended it to be a worldwide phenomenon with millions of fans, and hundreds of modders attempting impossibilities with his code. I've watched the source change from 1.2.5 up to the latest updates. Everything is changing...

    Can't find any Rubys...

Oh, yeah. They don't seem to be height restricted. I've had great success with them at where I usually strip mine, level 5. Too much lava for some folks, but I seem to find lots of goodies there. I've also found a few of them in mountain caves and abandoned mineshafts.

    Can't find any Rubys...

Greg's own documentation says Rubies are restricted to Deserts, and Bauxite is restricted to Forests and Plains. Regardless, in ExtraBiomes worlds, Ruby and Bauxite are more unpredictable, because it's not fully understood how ExtraBiomes biomes are internally related to vanilla biomes. Mountain...

    Can't find any Rubys...

I don't have a list, yet, but I have personally confirmed that they spawn in Desert, Mountain Desert, Meadows, and Savannahs.

EE3 and Redpower will be finished precisely one week after the last post on these forums saying "WHEN IZ EE GONNA BE IN FTB," "WHEREZ MY RP, ELORAAM" or any variant of the above. So in other words, never.
