in the server.properties you should have a port set (default it's 25565), this port needs to be forwarded to your server ip-adress in your router. You might have done this a while back for the internal IP-adres the server had at that time. If you arren't using a fixed IP-adres for the server...

This is not true, MCMA withg FTB works just fine. You only need to rename 1 file to make it work (if you read the forums of MCMA you whould have seen that). I'm using MCMA on my server and the stats update without a problem (both mem and players connected).

If you search on the forums you will see more people having problems with chunkloaders, hence why people advise to use worldanchors for the time being.

There are several ways to do this (shift+right click works on most machines), but i whould say place some blocks next / behind the machine and place the pipe against that block. Afterwards remove the blocks again.

I believe thats normal, not sure if the new mystcraft engine is still preloading x chunks when entering the age or not. Although on my overkill server i never had this issue only on my weaker test server

that's odd, indeed the -nogui should disable the serverGUI, and atleast saving memory for the servers that need it the -xms is the starting value of the mem usage when the java program starts.

uninstall java 32bit and install java 64bit ;) Afterwards see if the crashes still happen aswell

Try changing the line to java -Xmx512M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar -nogui afterwards press save and double click that .bat file to see what happends, if everything is right there should be no gui anymore (and saving mem that way)

First of all, you don't need the sourcecode. Just download the launcher and install it (run it). You can't just add modpacks to the launcher yourself, the FTB crew needs to do that. There are some requirements though. For more information you might wanna read...
