As I said it works for me in 1.0.2 SSP. Although I did experience a similar issue with wood/obsidian on the server (it is 1.0.2 as well) I play on. but relogging fixed it for me.

Just checked in 1.0.2 SSP, the blaze rod conversion works fine for me.

Are Highlight tips on in NEI? If they are, try turning them off. The only time I've seen that behavior is when Highlight tips is enabled.

The servers don't auto update. (Unless your using the Open to LAN feature for an SSP world). I've never messed with bukkitforge personally, but two of the servers I have played on have used it and neither admin had a problem configuring it. Other than that the other options are Ultimate Cheat...

If you are going to repeat this please know what you are talking about. The only thing it changes that can't be unchanged are gregtech recipes. You can no longer use the rolling machine. you must use the gregtech plate machine. You can still use the configs to return these recipes to the ic2...

Filters might work I think you can specify the amount to pull from the inventory by placing that amount in the filter, use multiple filters for more than 9 items. Not sure how well this would work. also might be able to do this with AE export buses.

I'd prefer if they just gave me an easily switchable option. The server I play on is hard mode, Most of the SSP stuff I do, is on easy mode.

Which is sad, because more and more, mid-tier energy production is being forced into lava. Biomass/Biofuel was, at least for a while, a good alternative. Not so much anymore.
