The thing about automation is a lot of the time, it's difficult to set up and by the time you ARE automating, you are probably OP (Blood Magic Armor, Ender Quarry, etc...) Also having complex crafting recipes is the one thing sometimes from making an item OP. If it were simple, it would be too easy.

Tesseracts are the best option, easy, simple, not that hard to make.

Same, absolutely, fire resistance is a must if you do not have the fire resistance gene from Advanced genetics.

The map so far, it is a pretty nice sized map because this will be softcore. A casual modpack. There is a Jaded Amaranthus spawning in Botania flowers with a quarter full mana pool, mana spreader,and a single daybloom.
