Biomass to EU conversion - 40K EU per bucket?

Jepp Biogas-Engines produce 50.000 MJ (5 MJ/t for 10.000 Ticks). I'm not sure why the BioGenerator only gives 8.000 EU since the ratio forestry uses to transform the energies is 1:2,5 which would make it 16.000 and propably still worse than the magma-crucible, which just has a higher...

    Obtainable Bedrock?

Yes, but not all bedrock, a quarry will remove bedrock that get's in it's way while setting up. This makes it possible to remove the top layer in the nether or some of the bedrock on the bottom-layer if you manage to get a quarry underneath.

    A bee wants redstone flowers?

But you can supercharge a gravity-gun with the bees :P Also I think the bees might need a redstone-signal. So if you lay down redstone and power it with a lever you should also make the bees work. This is exspecially usefull for the spawner-bees since you can in theory enable and disable this...

Can the FTB supporting modders agree on ores?

They propably adjust the ore-gen via Thermal Expansion. Since there are no more overlapping ores so they will propably use the same worldgen as the mindcrack-pack does (or the direwolf20 pack). But without GregTech, which defaults all ingots to the RP2-Versions you can still get different kinds...

    Aluminum - Xycraft and GregTech

I think you can build the machine parts with aluminium too. It is a rather abundant ressource, but some of the uses it has a very nice. I normally use it as a replacement for refined iron in the recipies were it is possible and of course as a nice source of mixed metal ingots. But if you are...

    The Best Power Source

Well you could build extruder-flowers. 5 Extruders around a redpower relay with tubes leading to the recyclers. That way you can speed up the process a bit more. My personal energy-production varies greatly. I realy like the blulectric engine and although you need 6 Solars for 1 MJ (or 12...

    Aluminum - Xycraft and GregTech

Jepp, the Ferrous Ores are more like a group. Before a lot of the chemistry behind it was revealed it was hard for people to distinguish Iron, Nickel and Cobalt, so ferrous is not meant as iron, but more like similar to iron.

    Iridium bees???

She is propably the most experienced person with extra-bees next to binnie :P Jepp I noticed that. I'm actually breeding bees totally random. I think this was there original intend and worked pretty well for the few species in vanilla forestry... but with extra bees it is very tricky to get...

    Pretty disappointing world generations

Well even in Vanilla MC oceans are the most common biome. I normally need to start some world before I find something nice. But I do not think that EXBL changed that much lately, but I'm hoping for the rework and possibly some more config-options. As scott said we might be able to adjust a lot...

[HELP] Industrial blast furnace + MFE Issue!

This, and since I'm not sure about the texture-pack I guess these cables are glass-fibre to ensure a loss-less transsition. But just stand in the direction of your blast-furnace and hit the MFE with a wrench (IC2) to adjust the direction it faces.

Forestry is making my brain hurt

So my question is... you know that RP2-Pipes devide items evenly if both destinations are the same distance. So if you need to go half of the dirt back into on farm and the over half for the second farm you could just split them with RP2, because RP2 really devides equally. You don't even need a...

Void pipeing items on a RP network

Just place a block of lava above or next (not under) a relay or any over outputting RP-device and items that go into lava will just vanish because they can not bounce. If you contain the lava with glass-covers you can even watch them vanish (well you see nothing). If you want to completly get...

Can the intrusiveness of GregTech be reigned in?

Well such people should not have a problem. If you build machines just for building machines you normally don't touch solars anyway. For such people GregTech might even offer new challanges since his machines are a bit more tricky to automate, since if you silk-touch the ores you need to...

Any way to stop Magmatic Engines from overheating?

They work that way with BC engines but not with TE. In BC the cables explode and the engines only if you send too much power through them (since you can power engines with engines), and of course the combustion engine explodes if you let it run out of water. However the engines to not explode...

    Nuclear vs Solar... dafuq?

Well it totally depends. With Gregs the Nuclear Generators is a nice option, next to some supportive Advanced Solars. Due to the insane costs of UUM. And well the reactor also isn't that cost-intensive if you compare it to 448 or even 100 UUM. The Problem with the solars is that UUM is too cheap...

    blaze rods

Quite correct. Important things if you fight against blazes is that you can dig under the spawners and might be able to find a position where they can not hit you or if the spawner is in the open a bow is a rather powerful weapon against blazes (if you are not good at ghast-ball baseball you...

    Purifying Aura for ThaumCraft

Jepp and it is hell of a lot expensive to manipulate local nodes. First you need a wand of whatever it was, which requires a netherstar, since the machine you need requires 300 Vis or so. Next you need another netherstar for the machine itself. But since you can use vis also to repair thaumium...

    Compressor + transformer = explosion

They distribute somehow, but not evenly. I think all items in a certain timeframe go the same direction. So if a lot of coal arrives it will mostly go into one direction. To reach a equal distribution with BC you need a constant flow of items. Since you feed the Macerator with an MFE you are...

    Need a bigger RP2 Filter

Well yes filters are only the most basic option for this. A sorting-machine is propably better. The sorting-machine can also provide accurate cycles, since it can also be used to fill the machine with rich slag, by simply coloring it differently. And if you use a manager to keep the output chest...

    Gregtech End Ores useless?

Also note that you should be able to Rock-Cut the ores, which gives you an even higher yield in the grinder. I also think that tungsten will have more uses in the future, since normally the worldgen comes before uses are avaible, so he might have added in some ores just to have the option to use...
