Or you could just not update to 1.5 until you are comfortable with it... the FTB Launcher won't force you to update so theres really no issue.

Instead of chocolate frames try using impregnated or proven frames. I would recommend using an alveary, try about 8 impregnated frames and see how that does. Do keep in mind that distilled bees did recently get nerfed to output slower.
