I had thought that Soul Shard (at least the T5 ones) were supposed to work even without the player needing to be nearby? Kind of the draw to it, besides the control you gain and the speed of them. I could be mistaken, however. I often am.

Is it possible that you are using RailCraft's World Anchors, therefore meaning you will need to supply them with enderpearls to work? (this CAN be changed in the railcraft config) If you are using some other method like the ChunkLoader from ChickenChunks, I'm not quite sure what could be causing...

I would certainly recommend using some of the new XyCraft blocks to really spice up your base, and give it a nice glow at night so you can always find it. I also find that in caves, putting the XyCraft crystals every so often makes for a really cool lighting system. Be careful now though...

Yes, they certainly can. Just place the marker block on the bottom side of the barrel, tell the golem what marker to use (If not using the "any marker" setting), and you should be good to go!

A really easy way (for me anyways) to find lots of treasures like that is to just create a new MystCraft Age, and explore a bit around the spawn. I usually just tell it to be a flat, single plains biome, and so far it has gotten me a ton of really neat loot! Best of luck, and remember to always...

Has the DW20 pack been updated in the launcher? Mine still says its version 5.1.1 and I'm waiting until the new XyCraft is added to start building my RP2 frame quarry (For the water blocks to stop that pesty lava)
