    Just because you have mods doesn't mean you are automatically guaranteed to not use any vanilla stuff. Besides, Blazes are extremely easy to deal with. Just use some enchanted armor (protection or fire protection, iron will work) or use fire potions.

    Use greg tech at least for UUM production, for added difficulty. I personally kept the solar panel, drill, chainsaw, and a few other recipes activated in the config. and I find myself loving the centrifuge.

    This is why I think solar arrays should be removed from the pack, and the advanced solars to produce 2 eu/t, 4 eu/t, and 32 eu/t, respectively, while producing 0 eu/t at night (if they are to be kept in the pack).     Additionally, you could find a low-level ravine. Those things tend to have vast amounts of lava (usually large enough for a single pump to take full advantage of) and you won't need to do multi-dimensional transportation of the liquid.
