You need to be running a beta build of MPS for the addons above a certain version number to work, probably because the heat mechanic is in and they use it in some modules. I managed to get a mod pack working in here, but I instantly got a billion ID errors so I added IDresolver to it...

They usually fly across the map for me. Eventually I found out that things you're carrying with those guns carry momentum, so if you release them while you're rotating the camera they'll get flung in that direction. ...Which doesn't explain how lag affects that, though.
