Nuclear Tower of Power (or how to create obscene EU/t)

I don't want to start a flame war, but in my opinion, the thought of any loss incurred when switching between two different power types is retarded. The only reason we have different power types at all is because the mods were made by different people. If we want to power everything with the...

Nuclear Tower of Power (or how to create obscene EU/t)

Thats not because power converters are broken, its because turbines were too weak.

Nuclear Tower of Power (or how to create obscene EU/t)

Well, if you have GT you can always centrifuge lava for copper right? Makes running costs somewhat moot. I tried doing a CRCS setup on my last world, but it blew up despite there being more than enough cooling towers. When I get the AE fuzzy buses it should prevent that sort of thing from...

If you could con a Dev for one thing....

I really like this idea, though I wonder how many more multiblocks I can fit in my base. By the way, YX33A, vodka these days is made from grain not potatoes. Makes it less oily.

Does upgrading steam boiler reset heat to 20 again?

If making it bigger didn't reset the heat level, it would be exploitable, as you could just build a 1hp boiler, wait for it to heat up, then upgrade it to a 36hp boiler without wasting any extra fuel on the heatup phase.

If you could con a Dev for one thing....

Make nuclear reactors worth doing goddammit! I'll admit, I never got a chance to play with EE2, but it would be nice to do so, it looks infinitely cooler than EE3 (though it may have been slightly OP)...

Tree farming - Steve's carts vs MFR

Ah yes, bees. Uranium bees are rather good, though they do require a large time investment. What I could really do with though, are plutonium bees.

Tree farming - Steve's carts vs MFR

To be honest, I think that would be just a tad overkill. Besides, I don't want to lose too many leaves or i'll run out of saplings.

Tree farming - Steve's carts vs MFR

THAT is a huge understatement. I built a 25x25 farm now, with lilypads of fertility to keep them growing at pace. With 4 harvesters, I was getting constant wood. I could easily power at least 20 36ph boilers with this enormous wood output... not bad i'd say :) Alas, its rather depressing to...

    GregTech Machine Upgrades?

A tip: don't bother with overclockers in GT machines. The amount of extra power they need is outrageous, and you can't remove them without breaking the machine. You'd be far better off just making multiple machines.

    The Ultimate Tinkers Construct Tools

I wish they'd swap the colours for cobalt and manyullyn. I'd rather have a nice dark blue pick/sword instead of a purple one.

    Question about liquid tesseracts

Hmm, there appears to be a glitch involving IC2 producers. For some reason they can't output energy into transformers. Now with normal wiring it works fine. Well, at least I found something that works.

    Question about liquid tesseracts

Well, I was just going to put the tesseracts directly next to the boilers, so this shoudln't be a problem right? Also: is there a limit to the amount of liquid that can pass through an ender tank at once? If not then i'll probably just use them. EDIT: Well, it seems i've got another problem...

    Question about liquid tesseracts

Is there a limit to the amount of liquid that can pass through them at once? I'm building a bunch of boilers for power, and I was going to use tesseracts + power converters to create power in a more compact way, but I don't want to overload them.

I know, I was going to use 4 harvesters.

Tree farming - Steve's carts vs MFR

I have no idea, though I don't think its very much. I also don't think it depends on the size of the farm (or does it? Does anyone know?). I'm also not using fertilizer. The trees grow quickly enough as it is despite being 2x2. With fertilizer i'd just have a 25x25x60 block of wood.

Tree farming - Steve's carts vs MFR

Ok, since my nuclear reactor blew up (again!) in my last world, i'm making a new one. I know everyone does it, but I think i'll just go for a few boilers powered by a tree farm. The only other time i've done this, I used an 11x11 MFR tree farm, using EXBL redwood trees. It gave me enough planks...

    Plate bending machines :how to

What is the world coming to when people have to have a guide on how to use a machine that does nothing other than bends plates... A more useful guide would be on a fusion reactor or something. Incidentally, does anyone else find it funny how Steve can weave carbon-fibres with his bare hands...
