This is actually really interesting. Without a doubt my favourite bit was seeing that 128 people like gregtech and 42 don't :) Suck it, haters.

This is a lot of oil

I think it looks like a lot because it spawned on top of a tree, you should find that (whilst there's still a lot) it's less than you think. In general one oil well is enough to last me until I stop using oil, even a tiny one.

    FTB performance optimization

Yeah, I find it much easier to choose the parts all from one website. Less choice, but everything is compatible and handled by them. If you buy an all-in-one computer, especially for gaming, you're guaranteed to get ripped off.

    FTB performance optimization

I've already ordered a custom-built one, but there have been problems with the order... It's a real headache.

    FTB performance optimization

Well, unfortunately 4-5 year old macs run games as well as GladOS did when she was a potato, and my new computer isn't due for another few weeks, so until then I'm stuck with terrible frames, short render distance, fast graphics and no smooth lighting. If I could get 40 fps with maxed settings...

    FTB performance optimization

Do you actually need 120 fps? Sure, in something like Skyrim, that would be nice, but with Minecraft I can play at 30-40 fps quite happily.

Invert the redstone signal, then send it to a redstone engine connected to a wooden pipe connected to your engine and a chest full of fuel. Alternatively, shove a hopper on top of the engine with your fuel inside.

Levels cost more and more experience the higher level you are after level 16. As for your skeletons, have you tried a Sword of the Zephyr or Instant Damage potion for splash damage?

There's an MFR block, I think it's called the Rancher, which can seperate them for you. Railcraft also has a rail that will dump out an animal if it is an adult but keep it if it is a child (or the other way round). I haven't tested either of them much though. EDIT: QKninja is smarter than me...

What is the point of these?

That screenshot was taken from Vanilla :p It loads up faster than FTB

For completionism's sakes there are also Rubber boots (6 rubber, 1 wool), Quantum Boots (VERY expensive) MPS boots (Pretty cheap, possibly cheaper than Long Fall Boots depending on how many diamonds you have and which recipes are enabled), Boots of the Traveller (not a colossal difference but...

What is the point of these?

I prefer building in Vanilla because I know exactly which blocks will go well together, because there are less of them. I could have a blast spending an hour messing around in FTB but by the end I'd never have anything done. Obviously more blocks are always nice but when you get to the point...

    Another ModJam already?

I think that was all you. Despite the frustrating hatred of the masses, I love Gregtech. Even though I'll probably never get that far into his tech tree, even just the illusion of an end-game that I haven't reached yet is awesome. Plus, I love that he makes solar panels more expensive and...

    What do?

I advise that you create sheep-torturing machine which burns, lasers, particle-accelerates, drops, slices and anything else you can think of. Then make a video of it and spam it everywhere you see Saice.

I think we can do better than Direwolf20

I've never played with liquid glowstone, so I'm mainly guessing here. If I knew how it worked I could make you a prototype, but it shouldn't be too hard to adapt

I think we can do better than Direwolf20

Challenge accepted. Bearing in mind that this guy has been AWOL for a while, so this design was before comparators and all that useful stuff :) This door is faster, sexier and more compact that a frame door of the same size. Huzzah for vanilla. That's about a kazillion times easier :)...

What is the point of these?

Yes, I know, that's the ugliest building facade ever, I made it to showcase how the various blocks (far left) work together and what you could use them for. I recommend using endstone next to lapis highlights because it takes the edge off of the blue/green tint. Glowstone and Gold Blocks look...

I think we can do better than Direwolf20

People don't realise how many options vanilla gives you. You don't need damn frames or CC to push a block out of the ground, redstoners have spent ages perfecting elegant piston designs that do just that; That thing is beautiful, fast, vanilla and ermazing. It reminds of that moment in one...

Have you tried pairing it with sandstone or lapis?
