Even better, make some Extra Utilities wings, they're cheap (1 nether star basically) and get a speed boost from the bound armour. I do love bound armour, I just wish you could still book enchant it :(

Java applications should NOT be allocated more than 4gb of RAM under any circumstances. Can't run it with a x128 texture pack? Tough luck, use something less demanding (sorry if I sound rude, but you'll never increase performance by allocating more than 4gb of RAM, that's just how java works)...

I've heard multiple people say TiC rapiers were nerfed to not ignore all armour, however I've been unable to find a primary source for this. Does anyone know of such a source? I've been trying to test it myself, but so far I haven't seen any mobs wearing anything better than leather.

Thing is, that would make blutonium a PITA to get in sufficient quantities for making turbines. It's not like yellorium is that rare anyway, so the ability to double your fuel supply isn't a huge deal.

Doesn't the cyanite reprocessor give you back blutonium at a 1:1 ratio? That should allow you to fuel reactor indefinitely. Also you can use IC2 uranium instead of yellorium if you're running low on the latter.

Actually, now that I think about it Omicron's reactor set-up isn't that ridiculous. I've seen some set-ups that were far bigger and more elaborate. Unless IC2 reactors have been massively buffed since last time I used them (basically 1.5.2), I could imagine needing quite a few of those.
