    Based on this info I'd gather the best thing to do is to run a boiler super hot for a while and fill up redstone cells with industrial steam engines at a rapid rate for use later.

    Tried that too and it did the same thing. Had to delete the folder and have the launcher download it again.

    It breaks stuff on my PC too. Just got loud bursts whenever a noise occurred when I did that.

    Never played it. Game balance is an illusion. The balance you seek is found in your mind. All you'll find in a game is fun and suck. The 'balance' addon adds suck in an attempt to compete with the levels of fun.

    Thermal expansion doesn't seem to be included in the fair and balanced approach. Greg just doesn't like IC2.
