    So that's the part about crashing, I suggest doing more than just quoting the whole FAQ section, should you try to resolve your issues. Or perhaps run a thread search, which is the other common choice when looking for bugfixes in a thread.

    I'm fairly certain that it had to be energized, as the Thaumonomicon only showed an energized node, and when I tried jarring a regular node with a full thaumium-silverwood wand, it refused to work.

    Assuming you mean the chapters, then you're just not far enough for them to unlock yet, as is standard for lots of HQM modpacks.

    Is it just me, or do hopperhocks seem unwilling to split item entity stacks? Like, if you drop 10 items at once, and the receiving inventory only has room for 4, it won't take four out of the entity stack and leave 6. Oh, and otherwise, my little auto-golem-hopperhock-crafty...

    Huh, what I do for terrasteel is just put the three mana-items next to each other in my inventory, stand on the plate looking down, mouse over each and hit Q, and run off and let my pool handle the rest. Edited for clarification.

    Well, with regards to my golem farm of nightmares and headaches, it would seem that an advanced golem without spectacles or water upgrades can't see the floor above (or presumably below), so I'm going to go make about a dozen straw golems and let those guys have at.

    Thing is though, the golem has to go up essentially the same kind of stairs to get to the crops above as it does to get to the crops below, so there's no actual straight line involved.
