    Oh, certainly. When I make quicksand traps I make the hole two deep and leave the bottom open (so that later I can come along with hoppers or obsidian pipes and the like and pick up stuff).

    Does your modpack have quicksand pockets? I've found that to be a far more effective deterrent than water moats.

    If memory serves, I generated a ridiculous amount of cotton using cotton plants, 4 ars magica sigils of nature's bounty, and a harvester on my last Monster world.

    I seem to recall that the rancher was altered to not allow pulling from the same mob with a rate that would support 'squid-pawa'..at least not at the level it was being used at originally. Might still work with a few squid and/or multiple ranchers? Dunno.

    Oh, I see. I was thinking of using a floodgate with multiple AA's, or glacial precipitators to drop ice blocks and either break or melt them. Nothing else comes to mind. Pump water from a mystcraft ocean?

    Huh. I hope not! I've always been a fan of the hydrogen generators. Not sure how they're intended to work without the separators.

    Mekanism has hydrogen generators that are about as passive as you can possibly get. Make a few and stick them in the wall and forget about them except for the nice hum.
