    GregTech (The Mod) (Need Help)

@Arkaria GT 5 usually pauses there for a many minutes. And, out of your 105 mods, is one of them a (slightly older) binnie's (ExtraBees/ExtraTrees) ? He has since fixed that issue. Latest version is pre5 you can download from his site directly. As for Java args, here's what I use for my Linux...

    Nether Quartz harvesting as ore?

@Kyle98750 Yes, it's GT. The GT Nether Quartz Ore is not the same as vanilla. Like all other GT large (not small) ores, it drops the whole ore block rather than "breaking" upon picking. You may have noticed the same thing with GT Redstone, Diamond, etc.,.

    gregtech in 1.7.10?

The new version of Binnie's fixes it. I run the following combo on my server, and it has normal (non-slow) loading times for any GT pack: binnie-mods-2.0-pre3.jar gregtech_1.7.10-5.07.07.jar It takes just a few minutes to load on my i4590s server. My i4790k client has similar loading times...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Ludicrite is a big upgrade, but Fluxed Electrum is not much more efficient/powerful than gold. Downside ? DOWNSIDE ?!?! That's a big selling point for me. I like building big stuff, especially ones that look cool and spin.

@EchoingZen Yes, you will want to build coke ovens as early as possible. You put wood (raw, not planks) in them and the coke oven slowly turns it into charcoal. They only require bricks (smelted clay) and sand. Just need some vanilla cobblestone furnaces, wood to fire it up, and clay to make the...

Platninum and Palladium, I think. It's been a while. And, I found it in config/GregTech/WorldGeneration.cfg:

I've found an Iridium vein (not this world, but last world), but have never as much as sniffed spessartine.

This is a full-on "bee" pack. Fuel (oil) bees are in the pack and are a viable option. I did Ethanol last world simply for the research and build challenge. It's about the slowest way to make decent power. Oil (fuel) bees - while not as quick of a route as charcoal - are a server-friendly way to...

Spider chests --> stainless steel Those spiders chests are where the bulk of my Manganese comes from. Without spider chests, stainless steel would take a *lot* longer. I've only ever found a single Manganese vein out of about 5 worlds.

To fuel a rocket, you'll need a fueler, aye.

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

You need a rocker fueler, which is a "machine" block. It takes fuel as input. And, much easier to carry fuel with you then refine it on the moon. Also, carry some GC batteries. The fueler requires a little bit of power.

Regarding the ironNugget to steelNugget stuff and Railcraft : that was totally my fault. Root cause was because infitech.zs wasn't completing due to error with BoP and ProjectZulu missing, which are *my* fault. I removed them. I have since edited infitech.zs in my server and verified it runs...

Yes, that works quite well. JABBA is a good option. And, if you have a *steady* source of power in the MV age, you can use AE2.

Hah ! I had a similar experience my first encounter with them. After I was geared enough to take them down, I made sure to take a couple of their banners as trophies and made sure to wear their armor whenever I saw them.

Yeah, this pack is not for the feint of heart. It' s not BnB "good luck not dying" brutal, but expect everything to take (much) longer and require more steps.

"Warp". It's difficult to avoid getting at least a little bit of warp. Research Mastery and the Infernal Furnace will easily do it. However, you have to be seriously warped to have really negative affects. Just avoid making flesh golems and other really dark stuff and you'll be OK. A *little*...

BTW, are you using that much RF/t and if so, for what ? Last world, I maxed out around 2K RF/t steady-state, and 4K RF/t burst when doing AE2 crafting. But, I also wasn't converting RF to EU. I was producing 2K EU/t steady and 4K EU/t burst.
