What cool little thing have you discovered today?

They're pretty nice yeah, I'm currently in an Infinity Expert run where I've been using kinesis pipes and power adapters to power my lines of extraction pipes as part of a bee setup. Things like IE cables for every apiary would've been horrendously expensive and kinesis pipes are way easier to...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Amidst or whatever it was called worked fine for me when I tried it once, occasionally a biome will actually be the mengelin biome instead of what it said, but that was the only issue I noticed. That's for autoharvesting forestry fruit trees afaik.

Well, I've got it working with a hopper from above. Tried something earlier with transfer nodes and it wasn't working so I thought it just didn't work that way, not sure what I was doing wrong. Thanks for putting me back on the right track though.

Is there any way to automate the insertion of paper into a recipe packager from Buildcraft? 1.7.10, Infinity Expert for reference. I've been using one for autocrafting as they're one of the few shape based autocrafting methods available, at least they seem to be shape based. Without the ability...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Actually the better ones are better than an octadic. Wonder and Impossible capacitors pull ahead for general power, Premium, Incredibly, and Unstable for the specific effects are the best three. A maxed capacitor in a stirling gen I think gives like 3x the RF/t as an octadic for reference, been...

There is another thing to consider, while they consume an incredible amount of water to do it they can generate an incredible amount of steam, which can be fed into normal GT steam turbines for EU. You'll need a lot of water though, and they've got different water to steam ratios so you can't...

    Official FTB Pack Suggestions Thread

So the bug report forum for Infinity was closed, but on the other hand I know there's been mentions that at least one update is still planned. So I'm please requesting for one issue to be fixed, it was never resolved previously probably partially because the actual problem was never brought up...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

Pistons don't require a pickaxe to mine. Trying a no mine run of Infinity, and was surprised to discover this. Makes jungle temples and TiC villager buildings just a little more valuable early game for me.

There's a recipe for them added using thaumcraft, in the alchemy section near the various transmutations.

Mod Feedback ChromatiCraft questions and suggestions

For products, I think high fertility might be better actually, don't the Chromaticraft bees get a bonus if you give them the best possible set of traits? Best being highest in every category. Pretty sure that was a thing. Though I'm not sure there's any way to get max temperature and humidity...

Mod Feedback ChromatiCraft questions and suggestions

I'm pretty sure pneumaticcraft at least exposes some of it to the API, looks like the heat lamp could be non-trivial as the simplest way of making a block count as a heat source only functions for blocks of a constant heat. The heat lamp is variable though which complicates things a bit. My...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Two most likely cases here are that your bees weren't jubilant (bees only produce specialty products if exactly matching what they want, humidity and temperature tolerance are worse than useless for bees with specialty products to the unaware) or that you had horrible luck. Got to watch out for...

Minor point, but they aren't actually added by Greg. A lot were added by kirara and that script provided the basis of the InfiTech 2 scripts, though we ended up redoing most of the recipes to make them cheaper and adding a ton more changes anyway.

    MineTweaker/ModTweaker - A help and suggestions thread.

I'm attempting to create a custom recipe using a recipe function, craft an enchanted book with a drum of liquid XP to boost the level of the enchants and take some of the XP based off what level it is. I can nearly do it too, my big problem is that I'm attempting to do it in 1.7.10 so lack...

I was unaware of this, but it has made me go look at the code. Looks like the magic number is actually 900, for every 900 above the requirement you have in heat it gets 5% faster (stacking exponentially, not linearly), and for every two of those, so 1800 above, it allows you to overclock one...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Not particularly important, you'll need it if you ever want to do Kami from Thaumcraft as that makes heavy use of Hardcore Ender Expansion items, but generally it's all optional content. There's definitely useful content in the End, but don't think it's required outside Kami. You'll obviously...

Does the ingame book not cut it? Materials and You, great source of info, though I mainly use it to find out what all the modifiers on the various materials actually do.

Yeah, the amount of oil left in a chunk is stored in chunk data, the generation code is just setup so every chunk in the 6x6 area gets exactly the same starting value out of the RNG. Which is also why I'm extremely surprised by the 918 value, as far as I can see the generation code is basically...

That doesn't help turn corners, the issue is it seems to only act as straight line transmission. Input on one side, output on the opposite side, and all you can do is change the direction, no corners or junctions.
