For packs like Faithful, this could be a bit of an issue if I ever started pushing updates to the launcher at the same speed I push them to Github. People would constantly be seeing update warning for little texture changes. Anyways, I pulled this from a chat with Jaded:

Tesseracts output directly to inventories last I remember. Try putting 1 next to some ME chests.

I don't even know what the borer does. Your best bet is probably tesseracts. 700 blocks a second is only 35 a tick is it should work provided the system on the output side can pull fast enough.

Doesn't really matter in terms of performance provided its not a low end VPS. Typically I would suggest Ubuntu for the first timers or Windows. Some people prefer Debian or CentOS but there is less documentation.

Honestly, that will never work well. Minecraft player movement and actions are not limited to 2 dimensions unlike Pokemon. I actually watched the stream punch through 2 blocks of cobble with a fist when they had a stone pickaxe, directly into lava.
