    I use a Dsrk Axe/ Shears with Unbreaking III on them. Can literally gather over 200k leafs (for Biogas) and probably over 50k logs before even needing to repair them.     ANy armro that has a charge on it (I.e: Lappack, Nano Chest Plate, etc.) You simply right lcick with nyour tool and it will drain the armor to charge itself.

    That would be my fault. I was sure Crop-Matron was gated behind HV. My apologies. I've edited my previous post where i would wrongly hint to a crop-matron using HV-voltage.

    GT Pump work pretty much the same way. You won't have to worry about water if it start off with Oil. Higher tier pump will also work faster and larger (assuming you would be pumping water or Lava for example.)

    Depending on what your looking to grow, it can be ok to start with crop early on as some stuff can be quite usefull (Stickreed for example.)     Are you using Bee house or Apiary? If i recall correctly, Bee house prevent breeding and only yield.results. Edit: someone correct me if i'wrong. I can't go check at the moment.

    I'd say no they are not unbalanced or OP considering you can't automate crops until you reach HV. Sure you can grow pretty much of anything but if you have to harvest them manually, it's still gonna take a while. Plus, if you make super crop, you won't be doing anything else other than applying...

    The best way to raise crop is definitly to: 1) Be in a swamp biome 2) Be over Y=128 3) Use fertilizer After that, it's just a matter of making "nursery" (2x2 works fine) and use a GT Tricorder to look at the new-bred crop stats. If they are better, keep them to breed new and better stats. If...

    After playing with crops and recently finding out how to boost their stats to 21/31/X, i'd recommend bees as they are an easyer certainty while crops are more random though more powerfull. That's my own opinion though.
