    Good point on the silver, i guess i got lucky there and found about 1/3 of a stack between a village blacksmith and a TC4 standing obsidian circle (note: watch for the furious zombies, they don't just spawn those annoying wisps anymore!) so its an idea i've entertained. but at the same time...

    @MajPayne21, Id actually ended up finding enough damascus steel to make a wrench and my first moarter out of that, i didnt know about the wrought iron trick though, looking through for one head out of 57 tool heads is a little ... irritating, though i understand why he did it ... looking up...

You could try downloading Fastcraft to fix issues with lag on nei as well, assuming you haven't already - ill admit its nice not needing to leave the game open and idle for 2 mins while EXBL generates ANOTHER mountain range ...     Im having a hell of a lot less issues finding ores on Xtrabiomes than i was with BoP ... definitely worth setting myself back a few days of gaming :P

    Tried a world with xtrabiomesxl ... holy balls the worldgen lag! every time i even look in the direction of a mountain range, my game freezes for a good 30 seconds ... its not like my comp is a pile of garbage either.

    Yeah, i put that to the test after making the post ... went to bed before i could say anything about my findings, solar boilers are basically like the ic2 solar panels in the way that as soon as the sun is up they start making heat. They make a good enough run for an alloy furnace and a steam...

    Railcraft boilers havnt really changed since 1.4.x have they? If not then the difference is, LP boilers are good for short runs and solid fuel - whilst HP boilers usually worked better with diesel and biofuel (ethanol) and generated twice the steam, but they also burnt fuel slightly faster iirc...

    I will say something about the pack: GregTech makes ravines so disappointing in this version, i mean, i see a ravine and im usually thinking "WOOHOO! LETS GET DIGGING!" - i should of known from my experiences with TFC that mods altering oregen tend to make ravines almost, well ... naked ...

    Yeah, ive got 2 folders in the multimc directory, one of them is identified in hexadecimal with the prefix .thaum. The other also in hex is prefixed ".thaumback" this is in addition to the player folder. (Playerdata and Players) Edit: i had to delete both sets it seems, but why would the program...

    Is there a way that wont involve starting again, to reset thaumcraft 4.2? By reset i mean, everything - aspects and research, not just the latter. the irc is about as much use as a chocolate teapot and reddit, well reddit is full of people who are offering fixes from older versions of tc...
