    I did a restart without ZA and surviving isn't a problem (with lots of practice :) ) I even put some of the milder special mobs in. Got to the point now that I'd want to build a smeltery, but grinding for the amount of water/clay would be a pain.

    @Iskandar are you using Mob Properties from Father Toast? Edit: If you're editing drops, what about reducing bones and flesh drops by a bit? Maybe add in a rare chance for glistening melon?

    At night your heat only goes up if you are dehydrated or are near a heat source. Fluid transposer needs 10 sapling but it only takes 8 to make dirt. Dirt + bottle = dirty water, put in furnace to make water. You can get a furnace going before you use up all your starting water. Just use the...

    I think taking out Zombie Awareness will make it harder over all. The only thing dangerous about is if you make a mistake an leave a hole in the wall, you'll get swarmed. But it also made it easier to attract them to get the drops.

    Torches wont help at the beginning. Mobs will still come towards you. If you need it easier disable Zombie Awareness, that'll keep to many from swarming you. For the pyrotheum, just fill the area in with dust so you only have the source block to worry about and just keep things filled or...
