    It does fit the theme, but it's also not needed. On the other hand if we can't build most/all the parts for it but are able to find them in the ruins, that would be cool.

    You should be able to fill the cell with any energy producing block next to it. You just have to remember to set the cell to receive energy to that side.

    When we get to 1.8 I'm sure things will get re-balanced, but we're not there yet. On a related note Enviromine has changed their minds and will be updating to 1.7.10 before doing any new content.

    Balance wise, right now the silky jewel should cost the emerald block. If the hatchet lost durability on leaves then maybe go back to just 1 emerald. Or if the hatchet couldn't use the silky jewel then go to 1 emerald.

    Invar only needs you to have access to cobble. The grindstone can get you the dusts to combine, then they go in the furnace. On most maps, no you don't really need Silk Touch to be expensive, but here, being able to silk touch leaves with a (self) repairable tool early on does.

    You need to follow the quest book to survive. Watch some of the LP videos for some idea on the first day. Staying close to fire is a bad idea.

    The camel pack holds 4 bottles of water. Why not carry 3-4 packs around? And I'm curious what tasks that you want to automate?

    Not filling the pack. Just tried it now. Some one earlier said they could only get it to work if it was completely empty, but I couldn't. I can toss leaves/flesh + empty bottles into a chest and come back to 4 bottles of clean water.

    That's why I've been using version 2.6 for special mobs, you can turn off all creeper damage, been playing with all the creepers except the ender one. I found the default chance of a thrower too high. Also throwers just encourage you to turtle up and take no risks. Mob griefing should also...
