    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Well either way it seems like such a rare drop that I'm not altogether concerned about it affecting balance... Just good to know it's not a bug.

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

So I got a zombie spawner as a mob drop when farming zombies in a rogue like dungeon yesterday... Is this an intended feature?

They're java VM and java VM Hotspot options. It's near to impossible to find a single page listing and describing them all. You'll likely have to search for descriptions of what they do individually. Many of them are listed here...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

No challenge does not mean tedious, but keep in mind tedious is a personal opinion and you're the only person that's come remotely close to using that word... Tedious basically comes down to: "I don't enjoy this way of doing things so having to do it continuously bores/annoys me" However...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

The same thing you do at any point in minecraft. You collect resources, fight monsters and build things. Blood armor isn't required. Have you tried to get the cobble to make the deep dark portal? It's really not that big of a deal. An igneous extruder or two in a few barrles will do it...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

They're both required for magma crucibles, dynamos, certain generators and both can be used to upgrade smelters. Most importantly though you need vulcanite to make a induction furnance...

Nice Anesos! That fairly close to what I fought... I guess this means the most surefire way to find some is to mine out a chunk that is fun of nether rack. I'm sure there's still a chance that there could be none if some other ore spawn conflicts, but it's probably the most reliable method.

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

My best guess is that 100% means 100% chance to try and generate in the chunk. What matters I guess are the conditions that cause it to fail and if it retries.

That would make sense. It would still matter what it actually does when placing. Bit at least it tells us that the number only represents a maximum. Probably something simple like: for number of veins generate a random location in chunk. If blocks at this location are netherrack/etc...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Does it do that? I always interpreted those numbers as representative of a statistically average... i.e. generate such that there will be an average of 2 viens per chunk not place 2 veins in every chunk.

They are just painfully rare. In 10 hours of nether mining I've found 1 sanguinite and no vulcanite...

True enough. I don't think I'd be in support of this feature. The punji stick mechanism works fairly well as is. The tedium of having to replace them every time a creeper explodes would make them effectively useless. I've had to replace them a few times already without mobs targeting them.

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

That way I won't have to trick mobs into falling into my punji stick pits! They will just jump right in themselves :)

Oh I feel like you may have your wish granted soon ;)

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Okay here is what you do. Start a new world and copy the level.dat from that save over the one in the world you want to recover. You will be able to go back in but will loose everything in your inventor and be back at spawn. However the world it self will remain. I would recommend not going...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

The way things are going mobs breaking items makes a lot of sense. You can build out of strong materials or you can disguise an area in native materials. I don't want to give too much away and spoil the surprise but I'd save micro blocks for interior decorating in the next release ;). 26 and...

Almost certainly a server client version mismatch.

You'd likely do best asking this question in the FTB support forum. It's not really an issue with the mod pack content.
