    Math / Logic Discussion

I think you miss the point, sir. All of this discussion is strictly theoretical; it deals with things we can only theorize about (stuff like infinity) and has no immediate practical use (you gain nothing by programming it). This is all strictly deductive, no amount of individual examples - as...

    Math / Logic Discussion

Homework - at least by my definition - is forced upon a person. You could totally choose to ignore this, as mentioned above (although you're clearly not doing so :P); myself and @sgbros1 can't just ignore our math homework (well, we can, but that leads to a series of terrible life choices, so...

    Space Energy

I'd say it's certainly feasible. You'd just need to make a controller block and then have a way to store virtual satellite data, then pull power out of that and also some other wireless receiver. I'm not sure how similar it is to your idea, but I suggest that you check out Quantum Flux before...

I think the mod might have been discontinued...? I would check iChun's blog (ichun.us) first. If the latest version of hats isn't 1.7.10 it's definitely discontinued; it might also be true if it's not for 1.8.

The square root of a negative number is complex (imaginary). Squaring turns it into a real (if negative) number. :P Of course, I have an advantage, as I go about my daily life attempting to internalize vast amounts of information in several different, mostly unrelated categories.

    Math / Logic Discussion

This joke originally went in the "What cool little thing have you discovered today" thread. The joke itself was slightly off topic, and then through the magic of the internet the thread was derailed by math and formal logic. Apparently, being the first to make a math joke means that I now own...

I'm fairly certain that on hard it does kill you. [After checking wiki] Huh. There's nothing there about kill you on hard. I guess I'm wrong. :P

Useful knowledge: Unless you're on hard difficulty, poison won't kill you. So just retreat to cover where nothing can take away your remaining half-heart and eat some food for the natural regen. Also, yeah. I don't think I've ever felt threatened by a witch, only mildly annoyed.

*Probably* Random Things. I can't say for sure as I've never played that pack, but it's probably Random Things.

    Forge alternatives?

I think @FyberOptic might have one focused around 1.8 (or maybe it's 1.9?) but I forget the name. We'll see what he has to say.

For fastest AND best durability in default TiCo? Cobalt head + plates (the plates + head are averaged to get speed, so all the mats need to be good) and a manyullyn handle. Once you've gotten to durabilities that high, there's pretty much no difference in terms of how often you need to repair...
